This movie is so terrible, no humour, no intensitivity, no suprices it would be like watching Backho versus Idra finding yourself cheering at Idea (yugh) because of the intence lack of suspence. The only movie in mind there might be just as mad is another Nicolas Cage movie "The wicker man" and everyones information that is just so bad, if your high school teacher ever had a laughed in her life it was because of movie, just made to make women think they actual can handle a life on their own - So unreal. Lol this movie was great. It wasn't supposed to be a laugh out loud comedy or a thriller. It was just an interesting story that had a few funny moments. The characters were just brilliant.

Fantastic film that everyone should go see. Not sure if it was big in America, but I don't know anyone who has seen it here. It's exactly what it sounds like. A serial killer mom! I know right, sounds stupid? But it's fantastic. It your stereotyped suburban mom with perfect family. But she for what ever reason gets bored at home all the time and starts murdering those who upset her family. It's all done in a light hearted way though. Our House is perhaps another. I would of thought it was big, but again, I don't know anyone who has seen it apart from the people I've shown. A fresh couple buy a house together and after searching for ages find the perfect one at a good price. They then find out that an extremely annoying old lady lives upstairs and drives them nuts.

This is an A+ film that people don't seem to know about. It was directed by Sergio Leone, who directed six films, including firstly the acclaimed Dollars Trilogy of Westerns with Clint Eastwood and secondly a loose trilogy of films about America (including two more mature westerns, Once Upon A Time in the West and Duck, You Sucker aka A Fistful of Dynamite aka Once Upon A Time... the Revolution). Once Upon A Time in America was Sergio Leone's magnum opus. He had some other films planned, but he died before he could realize any of them. It's a gangster film, but it's also a powerful film about life. Leone turned down an offer to direct The Godfather because he wanted to make his gangster film, but someone else had the rights to the novel by Harry Grey which the script was loosely based on. It was released in 1984, but in a version heavily abridged and edited by the studio so that the film would be commercially viable. However, this cut was garbage, and responsible for the film's failure in theaters. It's about 3 hours and 45 minutes with an intermission. If you get the 2 disk set, the intermission will be buried somewhere in the second disk (it's not a 50/50 intermission). I highly recommend watching it in one serious, dedicated sitting, though. You have to pay attention to this movie.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116231 The only Turkish movie I've ever seen. It is excellent. One of those "classic" type of movies. Nothing particularly modern.

It's got some really realistic battle sequences and tells the story of a company of soldiers fighting in the Chinese Civil War. After being severely depleted in battle, they receive orders to cover their division's retreat, holding their position until they hear a specific bugle call which never comes, so the soldiers are forced to fight to the death. Their captain survives however, and fights for their recognition after the war. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assembly_(film) More images in spoiler tag. + Show Spoiler +

Completely agree with those who said Shutter Island, it's just quite amazing and well-acted, and intense. Personally I remember being deeply affected by this film: 1+ That movie is really good.
