Fantastic visuals. A great story of the effect of drugs and the loss of identity taking place in a, not too far away from reality, dystopia. Luckily the animation makes up for Keanu's lack of emotion and Robert Downey Jr. is brilliant as always.

I thought The Prestige was awful. The Illusionist was by no means amazing, but I both enjoyed it a lot more and think it was a better movie. The Prestige seemed not only unclever and predictable, but that it had to use made-up science fiction as deus ex machina instead of using a clever plot really shows how sloppy it was. The actors seemed limited by the poor plot, I didn't like the characters (and thus couldn't really care about them) and the cinematography had nothing going for it either. Just everything about the movie seems really blunt and base.

edit: Just saw Versus. It was retarded. I reccomend not watching it.

Little Big Man

The movie is a comedy about an American child whose wagon gets raided by native american indians, and another tribe takes him in and raises him. The movie follows his life as he goes back and forth between living in the white-man's world and the native american indian's world, with him not quite part of either. The movie is really good. He runs into all sorts of funny situations, and runs into half the famous people of the west (such as Custer, Buffalo Bill). The movie has a 96% positive rating on rottentomatoes (that's very very high).

I really like the live-and-let-live attitude the main character has. All this crazy shit happens to him, and he just moves on and adapts to the new circumstances.

edit: Just watched Five Deadly Venoms, and it wasn't bad. There wasn't all that much kung-fu in it, but the movie was still enjoyable: the plot seemed coherent and interesting.

I had to watch Amores Perros for an intro to cinematrography class, and I couldn't stay awake while watching it. If that's Mexico's Pulp Fiction I think I'll pass on future Mexican movies.

Saw Following; it was ok. I feel it didn't have that much content though, was a short movie and didn't really have that much of a twist/psychological aspect that was clearly intended to it imo. I wouldn't reccomend it.

This movie has some of the best lines in any movie ever.
