I enjoyed this film a lot more than I thought I was going to. Really good flick to enjoy for anyone who's ever played classic video game consoles. It does a good job of capturing the important parts of the comic series and packing them into a 112 minute production.
The cast portrays their roles exceptionally well. Michael Cera actually didn't screw this one up like everything thought he was going to. Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays a really great (and hot) Ramona Flowers, Jason Schwartzman was excellent as Gideon. I'm thoroughly impressed with the casting decisions.
It obviously isn't going to be a movie you watch for a deep, complex storyline, but it does have a message. Coupled with this message is about 2 hours of awesome effects and comical dialogue. To some people, the film will be a little over-the-top, but that's what makes it really fun too. It brings the comic to life.
My woman made me watch this the other night with her, and i enjoyed every second of it. 100%.
If i had to suggest a movie to watch, I would suggest "The Fountain" I know that it has been posted several times, but the movie may take 1 or 2 watches to fully understand. I remember i saw it when it came out in the theaters and i remember just looking back at everyones face in the last couple minutes and everyone's faces were priceless. Everyone was just staring, mouth open, in awe.
Matko is a small time hustler, living by the Danube with his 17 year old son Zare. After a failed business deal he owes money to the much more successful gangster Dadan. Dadan has a sister, Afrodita, that he desperately wants to see get married so they strike a deal: Zare is to marry her. But none of the two care much for an arranged marriage: Zare is in love with Ida, Afrodita is waiting for the man of her dreams
One of the best and funniest movies I ever seen. We were 4 friends and 2 of us wanted too chill with risk and music and the other 2 wanted too see this move, we ended up watching this movie and Im glad we did!
Perfect movie for a couple or a gropup of friends. IMDB LINK
Told from three perspectives, a story of a bunch of young Californians trying to get some cash, do and deal some drugs, score money and sex in Las Vegas, and generally experience the rush of life.
The Machinist, it's a very awesome wierd psychological mind-fuck flick that nobody knows about. You should definitely give it a watch if you like(d) psychological movies/Fight Club.
This movie is awesome, thank you for recommending it
Just A-MA-ZING!!! One of the best movies i have EVER seen.. Can't believe i missed this one lol. Defo Reccomend this to other ppl!!
So I watched Love Exposure because of this thread. It was quite interesting to say the least, I enjoyed it =). When I was looking for the trailer on youtube, I think I saw that the whole movie is actually on there in like 25 different parts for anyone who wants to watch it lol. Kept my attention for the whole 4 hours really.
One of the sickest movies I have ever seen and its SO GOOD! sure its way to long but its just so amazing it kinda makes up for it. Even if it ended right after he meets the girl (1h 40 min in) and it didn't get all that super weird as it did right after that, it would of been one of the best movies I've seen.
You probably have to have some slight interest in anime to be able to watch it but even I who can't stand most anime (even if I read manga...) really enjoyed it.

+1 for this one. Watched it a few weeks ago. Fun fact: Christian Bale lost more than 60 pounds for this movie. For Batman Begins, which came out a year later, he bulked up from 120 pounds to 220 pounds in less than 6 months.
