It was possibly one of the best episodes they've ever made. It is REALLY sad if you actually believe that. Because you're hilariously false. I think it depends on if you look at it from a comedy vs meaning perspective. I certainly didn't think it was a very funny episode, but the meaning behind it was quite deep imo.
I agree with you, South Park is at it's best in episodes like these.

For those saying this is the last season, South Park was renewed for 2 more seasons quite some time ago.

As someone who is often critical of South Park, I thought their beginning to the season was good.
I usually don't find their typical childish surface jokes that entertaining, but what I do like is their social commentary and their ability to tell stories. They're great at absurd symbolism. And I thought the self-reflective nature of these first two episodes was interesting to watch.
I'm really surprised more people didn't relate to it in terms of their maturing process over the many years of watching the show.

As someone who has watched a TON of South Park (especially since I got netflix ) I found this episode really enjoyable. Maybe it's just because I can relate to Stan a lot in my current state, and I actually really appreciated the ending message (even though the episode turned around and just mocked it, which I also found funny) But also... I found the whole "ass burgers" thing hilarious.

These are the kind of episodes that make south park such a special show. I love how they manage to take on things like this in a mature, funny manner.

I don´t know if it was already posted here but there seems to be a quite legit looking thing on www.southpark.de all seasons and all episodes from 15 which aired in germany already.

I personellt Loved these 2 episodes, because they mixed it up from their usual stuff. Like others have said they aren't the funniest but I do think they're Better because of the whole tragic social drama.
I wouldn't want SP to do this continiously though cause it would get repetetive and unfunny

The behind the scenes was quite cool.

Ya, it was good. Really impressive how they go from nothing to a full episode in a week.

Check out more information on the upcoming episode at http://www.southparkstudios.com/
The Last of the Meheecans: The boys play Texans vs. Mexicans.
Wonder if it's still going to be a continuation on Stan's character or just act like it never happened altogether...

This episode was pretty damn shitty. How the hell can any of you think otherwise? It sucked ass.
Maybe I have Asperger's?

I think it mostly has to do with the characters morphing and changing dramatically.
Cartman in Season 1-3 was a mean, spoiled and egoistic kid (One we can relate to since we´ve all known someone like him) and was hilarious. Now he´s mostly just there to be a complete asshole (not spoiled, not whiny, not mean, just a fucking asshole) and making popculture-references.
Stan has gone from a pretty mean kid (like all of them were) who is basically a representation of "you". (or how we try to picture ourselves as kids at least) Definately not a bad guy but not really a good guy either. Now he´s literally a good guy and once again, we cannot relate.
Kyle has had the same thing happen to him pretty much.
The only ones of the major characters that have kept their traits are Butters and Kenny, and let´s be honest here, how hard is it to maintain a character that doesnt speak and a character that just shows up a few episodes per season.
Okay what show have you been watching ??? Cartman is still mean, spoiled and egoistic...
And when the hell was Stan played off as a mean character ?? Besides like season 1 when they were all a little "mean".

I dunno how long you've been watching southpark, but if you've been around it often then you can see that the first few seasons are entirely different from the mid seasons and that is different from the late seasons.
Imo most of the new southparks have been garbage compared to their past, and the reason why this episode was at the very least acceptable is that they addressed that fact. The whole 2part episode was reflecting on the fans and their opinions, it was the message, people grow older and the same old things dont do it for you. And well the Aspergers thing was funny too imo. so true. But these last couple episodes have been deep i feel. Maybe im just looking into it too much.
Anyways - cant wait for the next episode. I never expect much anymore but i always like seeing new episodes. Ive seen them all way too many times. There are the gems sometimes tho.
I need to get my hands on a book or Mormon ticket too D:
Oh and i agree, cartman is fine the way it is, no complaints, but there is something about that old cartman that is different. Voice wise and attitude wise. I mean, every time i watch the meteor shower episodes, him in cat orgy was by the best. That loud, pissed off, squeally ass voice. Didnt get much better than that.

Just finished watching "6 days to air" behind the scenes. That was amazing! I learned a lot more about what a typical week of writing is like for them there and it entertaining the whole way through. Loved it! Every South Park fan needs to check it out by whatever means possible.

Mildly entertaining but not very funny or interesting.

It was okay... I enjoyed it but.. Just didnt find it funny.. maybe had a laugh or two but thats about it..
EDIT: Referring to the latest episode.

I thought it was pretty funny. Butters randomly becoming a god-like figure at the end was pretty great.
GAME ON!
