They're not as passionate as they used to be, they probably signed because of money matters and because it's a huge part of their life, but we can be sure that those 2 years will be the last years. What they said is more like "we changed, you changed, we're moving on, and if you don't like it then it means you should move on, too; everything has an end." Yeah, I feel a lot of people are taking the episode quite the wrong way. It's not just another shit and fart episode and there was definitely no animosity in any of the messages being conveyed. It was a very thoughtful, bittersweet, episode.

I can't understand how so many people in this thread can't see that it was just shit.

That wasn't wellplayed, that was the most obvious joke in the world. Additionally, it's already been made before in this thread. Several times. You suck.

Pretty sad episode, especially considering the recent episodes have been kind of shit. Also, growing up sucks. (This episode isn't about dubstep)

They won't like the old because it won't appeal to them, and not the new because it doesn't have depth. If they have to end the show, it'll not be because they grew out of it but because they don't want it industrialized.

Nah, I'm pretty sure everything is just getting really fucking shitty. It's not like every new game is shitty, portal 2 was amazing and I enjoyed every moment of it. That's pretty much the only shining example I can think of that gives me hope that I'm not just viewing everything new as shitty haha. + Show Spoiler + also I'm in love with the new children of bodom album after not liking their last two so I have hope ^^

It would be a fantastic ending if it weren't for Cartman and Kyle becoming friends ... that's just too depressing ![]()

A+ episode. I'm sorry, what? Are you seriously categorizing an entire group of people because of what music they listen to? Music caters to a wide range of individual tastes, and people with vastly different opinions, styles, and backgrounds can enjoy the same type of music. If I like Eminem does that make me a trailer park, White trash, wigger, uneducated loser? If I like Wagner does that make me an epithet-spewing, stuffy, German, Jew-hating racist? If I like Skrillex does that make me a cutting, raver, acid-taking waste of space? The answer is an obvious no. + Show Spoiler + I'm a well-read, level-headed, intelligent, athletic, good-natured engineer. I like Starcraft, Final Fantasy, and Fallout 3. I like eating sushi and traditional Italian food. I am currently reading about the political shifts in Germany from the end of the Napoleonic era until the breakout of WWII. I'm not taking this as a personal attack, I'm merely pointing out how wrong your assumption is. Matt and Trey are also wrong. It's possible to enjoy many things in life without sliding into an associated sterotype. People just get it in their head that if you're in for an ounce you're in for a pound.

It's actually pretty incredible how they can put themes like that into the framework of a South Park episode. The divorce worked brilliantly as a metaphor for the ending of the show itself, it wasn't bitter or because of any one thing, sometimes things just fall apart. If you were an original South Park fan then that was 15 seasons ago, you've grown older, your tastes have changed, and that's okay. You don't have to keep watching week after week as it grows more ridiculous and seems more shitty to you, it's okay to 'divorce' it, to enjoy the seasons you liked and move on. You don't have to keep watching each episode only to complain about how it's shit. 10/10 episode.

I love how they don't care about what is appropriate and can therefore go out of the box and do really really immature stuff like this last episode. I don't mind, because I loved every single minute of it. And also, to all of you people who claim there is an underlying message: It's South Park. Even if there is (which is doubtful, because you're watching South Park, not some movie like The Fountain), it's not meant to be taken seriously.
