Hehe good one. If only there was some correlation between liking drawings and liking real children. You'd be onto something ;p

Cool that you know WD. Are you familiar with the whole Obscura discography (especially Retribution)? Edit: Nice Cover. Never listened to Illegitimation actually. Reminds me of how much I love Cynic. I've seen them live multiple times (3?), during the TIA line-up (with the Exivious guys) and it was fucking mind blowing every time. Some of their gigs were close to the best gig I've ever witnessed, which will probably always be At the Gates 08. Unless another At the Gates gig tops it off or Eucharist reform, haha. Edit2: Awesome, Obscura are here in about 1.5 months. Dope, haven't seen them in a while, will totally check them out. : )

Exivious has a new album coming out soon http://www.exivious.net/ Man, so lucky getting to see Cynic and At The Gates live. Jealous. I need to track down a full length Eucharist, the track you linked earlier was right up my alley.

Got you covered, this is everything they recorded, for free. http://www.artnoir-productions.com/eucharist/mp3.html Edit: Needless to say I have the Mirrorworlds 1st press standing here. #brag Edit2: There is no better melodeath record than Mirrorworlds. Seriously. Their style and the emotion the music conveys is so completely beyond the other releases the movement has produced. The album is unique and consummate. Edit3: This is my favorite track. Holy shit it's so intense. Made me cry before etcetc. + Show Spoiler [WITH THE SUN] + Edit4: After you've listened to the albums, I highly recommend the tracks off the compilations - The View, Wounded and Alone and The Predictable End. They extend the style of the albums so differently but still amazingly.

So I'm looking for some similar recommendations in terms of atmospheric black metal with an interesting song structure (don't know how appropriate the word "progressive" would be; but basically I'm not looking for drone/repetitive black metal). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQHGQ-BaAEU pretty decent stuff. as far as atmospheric shit goes, my input would be Xasthur, Vinterikket, Limbonic Art, I got nothing along the lines of Imperium Dekadenz, however. EDIT: oh and this guy...

Instanzia - The Desert Fox Despite being quite simple its just amazing. Skip to 7:20 if you are in a rush. The CNK - Bunkermoon Chaos III This band/song is what i expect being inside out is like.

Even if you're against organized religion, which I personally don't care about either way, I doubt many really take it to such an extreme in their beliefs. It's really just about the music and the atmosphere many of the bands create. On February 09 2013 00:04 drooL wrote: I don't think they're underrated. Yeah but by underrated I just meant they rarely ever get brought up by metalheads in discussions on forums. They've been around forever releasing a steady stream of rather excellent mid paced death metal.

Thank you TMD, that Drudkh song was quite good, I'll look into your recommendations. Since we're on the topic of Black Metal, I've also found, just as randomly as the previous one, some really powerful yet somehow very catchy and captivating material by a band called Occult Crypt. Fair warning, this is NSBM. I do not condone or subscribe to their ideals or concepts, but from a strictly-musical point of view this kicks so much ass, from the riffs to the leads and solos to the pounding drums and cruel fucking vocals.
