I know I'm a bit late to respond here but I would recommend you (or anyone) check out Psychostatus for some nice instrumental melodeath Anyway (on a separate note) I felt like posting some recent favorites of mine for you fine scholars of metal that might be viewing this thread Wish this thread was more active T_T

It's pretty awesome. Wish they were as popular here in the US as wherever that is

Considering After ended up being one of the best albums of the past oh I dunno, 20 or so years, I have absurdly high hopes for Eremita. Also Jeff Loomis from Nevermore makes a guest appearance, what more needs to be said. Also new Neurosis album ;D. Turning out to be a sick year. http://legacy.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=171987

And I have to say, I came across many beautiful crazy song titles in my life, but Candlemass is official in my Top 10 now: Dancing In The Temple Of The Mad Queen Bee Just brilliant :D What are your favorite song titles?

Demilich - When the Sun Drank the Weight of Water Inherited Bowel Levitation - Reduced Without Any Effort The Planet that Once Used to Absorb Flesh in Order to Achieve Divinity and Immortality (Suffocated to the Flesh it Desired...) Ridiculous song titles, not to mention their vocalist sounds like he is burping.

This is brain-meltingly good. This album actually got me to stop listening to High on Fire's new one for about five minutes (incidentally Matt Pike is a god among metal artists and his riffology is irrefutable, and the new High on Fire just cements his status as the barbarian king of stoner doom). Also, Rosetta just did a split with some band I've never heard of nor care to find out about because OH MY GOD NEW ROSETTA MATERIAL: Also this came up while listening to Speaking in Tongues on repeat. Don't lament the (lack of) production - relish it as it crushes all your hopes and dreams:

Official Video "Programmed to Consume" Unofficial Video "Compulsory Resurrection" Had to post this song because its sooo sick! Around 2:45 there's a tasty guitar solo. The video is silly. The mp3 is dubbed over the live performance. Listen w/out watching. ![]()

Oh, how I miss the good old swedish melo-death, At the Gates being one of the best. They don't make songs like that anymore. My personal favorite melo-death:
