We have Maryland Death Fest, but its hard to get multiple days off from walmart to drive 800 miles up the east coast. basically every other festival in the US basically suck Wacken is overrated. I have been there 3 times. Smaller festivals with like 500-2000 people are way better in my opinion. Thank god I live in Germany :>

Used to prefer 'Melissa' over 'Don't Break the Oath' a lot. These days they're more equal, and I recognise the style differences of each to appreciate both.

Old Scar symmetry was awesome but I don't like them anymore since Älvestam left. The new singers are actually a lot better than alvestam was. They kicked him out because he didn't want to tour, and wasn't able to pull off the grunting and singing live.

Another band I utterly adore, is Bring Me The Horizon. They have grown so much since their first album. Here is a song from their newest album "There is a Hell believe me I've seen it, there is a Heaven let's keep it a secret" A band who havn't gotten a whole lot of notice is Vengince. I saw them when I lived in Denmark. These guys came all the way from the States, and they weren't even on the poster or ticket. Not sure how, but 2 weeks before the tour kicked off, they got on board. They had to put a lot of money to get on the tour plus they didn't get paid - they did it for the love of the music (and to play some kick-ass koncerts!) Went out to have a drink with the fans afterwards, they were so awesome! Man, I sure do need a dose of live music soon.
