Omniknight mid from NiP, nice.

Crazy lane swaps in game 1. Both teams really value winning side lanes (duh). Omniknight winning mid is super important. Still have no clue who wins this game, NiP seems to have the better draft unless things go pretty late

I know this format offers extremely long days for talent and crew, even for us as viewers but this by far the fairest way to play out a tournament imo. Round robin groupstage in a bo3 format, one game a day. Every team gets the same amount of rest and games played per day. No excuses for anyone!

NiP took notes from G1 yesterday, even though they beat the Doom + Naga. Though this Fata Omni has ruined Gambit's game.

Well, NiP has the earliest game all 3 days. I imagine ppd will complain about that.
But, I like this format. The Bo1 at in the lower bracket is rough, but you *always* control your destiny.

Gambit have a hard game ahead. NiP have all the tools in place to go late and win there. Maybe the second-Aegis push ends the game before it goes late.

Omni's first death didn't happen until after mega creeps. That might be the story of this game.

Omni is both Meta and really potent. No wonder Slacks loves the hero, you just plant yourself uncomfortably close to everyone.

Now that's an adaptation I hadn't expected. NiP goes with two tanky, frontlining cores for 1 & 2, so it makes sense an offlaner with jump and a lot of damage would be good. After Saksa's Lion performance yesterday, that's a lot of damage to be had.
Edit: NiP is playing a lot better today.
Edit 2: I say that, then NiP gets sloppy.

What is with this draft from PPD? Great team fight and a QOP who can do things early, to round it off with an Andy Mage? How on earth they going to black hole, epicenter and QOP has to do all the right click, as AM won't be online for a good 20 minutes? That is if he can get a good lane.
Guess when u last pick medusa into AM and have them 1vs1 each other mid u are kinda conceding defeat lol xd Thought was a huge gap if they picked something that could came online early for Gambit here, then just fight around abusing and catching AM into a huge mid game power spike.
I missed game 2, but Gambit looked woeful in game 1 and now look even worst in game 3.

Gambit got the dream stun at Roshan into Haunt, then 3 kills right after, that let them snowball. NiP had an interesting idea with Lion as pos 3 which won the lanes hard and had an early Aghs. Gambit hunted the Lion in every team fight with both Spectre and QoP, which let them erase most of the burst damage. I think NiP wins game 2 90% of the time from the position they were in, but sometimes you just feed 2k gold to a Spectre in 2 minutes.
As for game 3, NiP let Fata have one of his heroes but put him in a situation where he didn't either need to tank or carry the game. Saksa plays a good Enigma and they clearly have a good jungle farming pattern to exploit it. AM had free reign because of no catch, so game 3 was really just a draft loss for Gambit.

NiP did finally do something in Game 3 that they've been unwilling to do all season, which was hunt down cores for pick offs. It's not been a passive meta all season, even if some of it has gone really late game. Outside of the bases, it's almost always the aggressor that has the advantage. (Unless you go blind uphill.)

Race Car Creeps is hilarious.

Minor game quality has been a lot higher than ESL. >_>

Looking good for Alliance. Only 21k behind at 40 min.

Predicting FWD's draft next game: Pugna, Jakiro, Lone Druid, Leshrac, Nature's Prophet. In no particular order or positions.

playing centaur against naix, that hurts my soul to see. Not a fun lane or game.
I dunno about this fwd draft, they have to get through the laning stage without getting shat on
