I always loved ilusion based heroes and what they provide, but I concurr from a "viewer standpoint" they are more boring that not.
With that said, I'd like more splitpush and more hero focus and less laning pressure into so many resources, I feel there's too much on the map and everyone is rich (this is not specifically new, has been coming for a long while, I feel that TI4 just left a bad taste for so many people that Icefrog lost the way and started changing in the wrong directiong), but that's an old player perspective. I know for sure that "THIS" dota2 attracts more viewers and players than the old one, sadly.

Yapzor missed a ton of easy LSAs that led to secret either missing out on easy kills or getting wiped because they had to overcommit to a kill--the bottom fight where they got wiped is a good example, they had to spend an extra few seconds chasing down MC and he ended up being forced to use laguna blade on him
e: that said first pick Chen was pretty useless, the hero is just worse than the supports that Liquid was picking early

And also from a teammate standpoint or opponent standpoint. It's fun to play but it's a pain for the 9 other players in the game most of the time, absolutely not worth it.
