Because as much as you can complain about the rules, it's hard to say that any of the 4 teams below them actually played better. And seeing as groupstage is zero sum, it makes no sense to say that they deserve to be in the LB without naming a team that played better and deserves to be up there.

Go reference their results at manila. They didn't rely on PA AT ALL. Literally didn't win 1 game with her. They have other heroes they can play. You are correct, behind PA there stands the MVP's ultimate strategy of "Run at people, kill people, win game".

There should be an advantage for doing well in the group stage. MLG in SC2 took it to the extreme, but the 3 days of group stages now are not very important. Hell, even the group stages for the 5th-8th teams are useless, since you play all these games, to have your fate decided in a Bo1. The 8th team can easy beat the 5th team say 30% of the time, and it's just way too much randomness for no reason, and gets rid of the useful of group stages, besides letting a meta develop. i dont give a shit if you are azarkon dude. im just saying that they won more games than og and that means that they should get an even bigger advantage in your opinion just be honest. would u have said the same thing about navi at ti2? cause they were 4th in their group

Number one team shits the bed and is now in losers. I don't understand your issue with the format. If it was TI4 style and OG played like that they'd still end up in losers lol. You're correct, this is the only time in 7 sets that the number one seed from a group has lost. At TI2, TI3, and TI5, the group winners all beat the teams they picked in the first round. It's like saying there's no advantage to being the number one seed in the NBA, since facing the 8th best team in your conference isn't that much better than facing the 5th best.

Eliminating half the field after groups means people who travel half way around the world might not even see their favorite team play at TI. It's cool if you liked the old system but I think you're a very small minority.

It sets bad precedent for my prediction of EHOME rolling everyone this TI with smallest hero pool of all teams (except ESC because lol).
