i do remember you saying a couple years back that the chinese scene is suffering from the lack of young talent to replace the old generation. this was even before TI4.

Why? You currently have 4 Eastern teams in the top 6. VP is highly inconsistent, so there's a pretty decent chance that a Chinese team ends up winning.
