alright so i dont follow Dota as closely as I do League. Is the chinese Dota scene as developed as the League scene in china right now? Are these the rich teams that pay their players millions of dollar contracts that are getting crushed or what? I know they are historically the powerhouses in Dota but im not sure what their scene is like. Do they compete in a league and have team houses, coaches, and support staffs and stuff? Or are they like Secret and basically just a team of players without much backing?

most of them have at least a teamhouse, (except Big Gods those guys are "retired") some have the backings for major TV stations, some are sponsored by food companies (VG and Tongfu)

It is worth noting, however, that despite being unsponsored, by all accounts Secret treats Dota as a full time job and practice and scrim a lot.
Teams like this in League dont go unsponsored for very long. Why is it that Secret hasn't been bought by a major organization or been able to secure major sponsors? I would think a team that looks like it might be the best in the world would be something desirable to a ton of major esports organizations.

Like just looking now and i can't even find a website for them... its just odd. Team Liquid, CLG, TSM, Fnatic, etc. all huge organizations without a Dota 2 squad and this one is just sitting here competing in the biggest Dota 2 tournament since TI4 with no organization.

Basically Secret is a successful enough team that it's not them who are looking for sponsors so much s sponsors looking for them, if that makes any sense. The story is that they haven't received terms which satisfy them. Also, I personally think that they're so good that there's a chance they make more money by being unsponsored, since I believe most sponsors take a cut of your tournament winnings.

the terms of TSM acquiring the CS team recently seems like atleast in that instance the team keeps all winnings and stream revenue and is only about TSM spreading its brand. Ive been wondering if TSM is ever going to get a Dota 2 team. Really curious if they have made a offer.

I find it stupid that eSport sponsors are taking a % of what already little their athletes make, we don't see this kind of sharking in real sports.

Yeah, in real sports players don't get anything from prizemoney, just any bonus agreed on contract.

Mushi got 100% lucky he wasn't spotted there like 6 times. He had no vision of the iG movement, just pure luck.

We heard enough with his rambling during TI2.
That's what got him banned here.
If you enjoy his post, visit ggnet forums. There is plenty of interesting posts from him for you to enjoy.

iG going to lose this. No gem near 30 minutes which has cost them so much, and I don't think Dusa is going to solo core carry this.
