Big day for rave as well, looking at it. 3-1 day one and everybody hyped their day 2 play but they went 1-2. Now at 4-3 they are playing a bunch of middle-of the pack teams that they really need to beat. If they bring their Day 1 game they can secure themselves pretty firmly into top 8, but if they lose some key matches to contenders they risk falling out of the top 8 (though not out of the tournament completely barring outrageous circumstances)
I think day 3 is going to possibly be the first real test for Secret. So far they look really strong though, some clutch plays and solid late game decisions.
1) Western teams revealing all their strats in group stage 2) Chinese teams carefully taking notes 3) When the games start to matter, Chinese teams step up their game 4) They win
I feel so bad for Cloud 9. I want them to do well but they just never seem to have their shit together. It doesn't feel like they've been drafting themselves a fair chance this tournament. I would really, really hate to see them go out before the bracket stage so I'm hoping they go 2-1 today (EG must win!).

and to think that C9 fell for it and gave away their support slardar draft so early in the tournament!
I am not surprised at Secret's and EG's scores but I am extremely surprised by Rave. Those guys seem to be able to beat anyone at Bo1's. Meanwhile MVP.Phoneix disappoints they can't seem to win without their precious warlock.
Rave's wins were against the bottom 3 and iG. So they seem to be able to be any of the worst teams in the tournament in a Bo1. It remains to be seen wether they can beat the top teams. They are still one of the favorites to drop down from the top 8 imo.
Na'Vi vs VG should be the best and most important match of the day. Both team seem to be in similar shape right now and the match could likely decide which of the 2 team is going to make top 8.
And yeah, Rave's score is super inflated. They had their easiest matchups in the beginning of the tournament.
I don't think it will be that important for top 8. VG is probally making it no matter what, and for Navi it's more important that they do their job and beat the bottom 3.
Imo Rave and iG are the ones that will drop from the top half, and EHOME +1 will make it. Maybe C9 if they can get their shit together.

There is probably some truth to that statement. Although, I think that in this case EG and Secret are just in a good place mentally and mechanically.
Rave probably won't drop down that fast. C9 and EHOME will definitely be their toughest matchups today, but they probably have a good chance against HGT and CDEC. That is, if the latter two don't pick up their game.
At the least I think we can all agree that Rave doesn't automatically qualify for bottom 4 elimination.
I also agree that for the most part the chinese teams aren't revealing their best strategies, but Newbee doesn't have that kind of luxury anymore if they want to at least qualify for the lower bracket.

I highly doubt the Chinese are saving their strats, they're just complacent and lacking motivations after TI4

Well, it's not like EG and Secret are showing much either. Lots of SF picks, Lycan Arteezy (such hidden strat), and EG with Drow a couple times.
