Its actually a decent although confusing item choice. What about a rushed satanic or something silly? Anyways I don't think there is an item choice that could have lost them the game.
Satanic isn't as good because in order to make use of the heal you need to burst satanic with it, moreover Satanic doesn't offer you the slow that Skadi does nor the ulti orb at 2100 gold, yes in general Skadi has a fucking terrible buildup but that single into double ulti orb 20 stats is better then a dominator into satanic in terms of early to mid pushing.
