There are rumours that opening the stream in a new window (button at the top right corner of the screen) and setting it to 720p (not auto) helps to make the stream...watchable. So we don't get the shitstorm happening on Reddit, it's pretty obvious joinDota doesn't have a choice about where they stream on. | ||

Pretty sure the chat is making stream bug out/lag/crash for some people but if you just open stream-player in "new window" it will open stream without the chat in a new window (no way!?!?!), and make sure once the new window opens close the original page that had stream + chat open. This should resolve/help any lag/crashing issues related to the chat! (Update: seems to be fixing issues for most people, with the occasional person not getting resolved, still playing around with a possible fix? any suggestions welcome!) If it still lags/crashes with chat not opened, well, you're shit out of luck at the moment! Trying to see what could be the issue so will update if I figure something else out, hope this helps and spread the word if you see someone posting about these issues with stream! Edit: also if OP or mod can copy this little quick-fix in the original post that would be great! | ||
