Bottom line is this. The teams are not there to represent a country (like I said, EG is only half American anyway - give me the Denmark chant!) and the crowd reminds me of the Indian fans when they hosted the Commonwealth Games and tried to put off opposing teams. It's just weird, IMO.

It's the international that is about representing different regions of the world and you wonder why people cheer for a certain country? Seems normal and logical to me. Not trying to be a contrarian, just saying as it's apart of how diverse the teams are and lends itself to that kind of cheering.
