many details more to come!

So pumped! On that site, are there any details on the finals setup/dates? Trying to organise dates for Dota 2 content and don't want to go up against this :D
I can see the season ends November 3rd, so I'm guessing either the week after (WCS Global finals that weekend!) or the fortnight after will bring us the granny
|
uh yea ACE :D this will be good

I'm wondering if iG will have any minor changes in their lineup before the event starts.

The dates and teams are not final (although 7 of the 8 are solid organisations)
The TBAs are amateur teams and WPC organiser will provide coaching and training for them. They'll get at least 3 weeks in Shanghai before the league starts...
There's other considerations as well... so more details to come...

what does it take to become an insider bro these days

So none of those teams (more or less) has 5 members and it begins in one week hu.
|
I really don't understand this. Is ACE kinda forcing the teams to get their shit together?
DK doesn't have anybody, RS supposedly doesn't have Kabu and/or LanM. LGD doesn't have sylar.
How are we gonna watch this ~_~
edit: ahh nvm, so dates arent final

from some guy on reddit
According to the website, some real estate developer is investing 70 millions RMB/roughly 10 million USD to build the a "esport stadium" which includes "esport arena", "training facility", "esport themed bar" and more. The total investment planned for the next 5 years is staggering 200 million RMB/ 30+ million USD.
Another interesting bit is their qualification process (for 2 spots in the league): an open qualifier with bo1 to pick 10 teams pit those 10 teams against each other in bo2 (presumably TI group stage style) to get top 4. out of those top 4, pick the best 10 players to form 2 new teams have a coach train them for 20 days league starts, give those 2 new teams pro team treatment and have them play the established teams.
EDIT: in fact the qualification has already been completed, wonder where I can find information on those 2 new teams.

Is that exactly referring to DotA 2?
The style of that post makes it sound like it's a big operation for multiple games. Hell, maybe it's strictly league of legends cuz of Tecent money.

Should be a solid league. I hope.

Did they announce rosters of the participating teams yet?

Don't think so. At least Tangeng hasn't updated us yet if they did.

Ok! The list of the 10 amateurs is available now. They'll make up the two unnamed teams in the schedule. This is starting to get more real.
If you know Chinese, you can read here: http://p.t.qq.com/longweibo/index.php?lid=17590837598704631772 Based on their training schedule of the amateurs, the earliest ready date will be September 11th. If it is as long as a month as expected, it'll be in the 2nd half of September. So all competition dates have to be pushed back at least as much to accommodate.
In addition, WPC needs to replace ForLove in the schedule with another team, while the other teams have to finalise their roster and get everyone back from vacation and training. The WPC will start as soon as possible based on those limitations.

Wait, so is this the official ACE league with a first prize of 160$k or some other league under their brand/name?
