The iG supports failed that game. Couldn't get anything done against DK's trilane, even feeding fb. Then they failed their first gank mid without detection. By then, DK were ready and the next ganks all had timely reactions that netted multiple counter kills every time Invoker died. By running around not getting anything done, the iG supports didn't shut down the Weaver nor the Ursa. It was a greedy way to lane when a traditional defensive tri could have at least shut down the Weaver.

I can see NB and VG but why Na'vi? DK is basically a superior Na'vi. If anyone, I'd see only Alliance in the West would have a chance vs them in a game, let alone a series.

Game 1 48 minute game with 30 kills.

Game 2 38 minute game with 56 kills.

Make of that what you will.

Game1 was a very well executed starving game with overall low amount of errors and thus low kills from both sides. Not something for everyone.
Game2 was pretty much the opposite of Game1. Featured a couple of fresh picks on both sides and was an overall high aggression and high tempo game with good plays on both sides.

I'd say G2 was more entertaining since it had some back and forth fights plus theres an ursa. G1 was just a team with a 5 man line up starve a 2 core.

I found absolutely nothing different about this Ursa though, as compared to a 6.80 Ursa. Take that as you will.

It's Na´Vi. You never count them out. Even if they go 0-12 in groupstages.

NaVi will always have that underdog's chance. Yes, I consider them an underdog team even though they are usually favored in tournaments. But the odds on NaVi are usually based not on NaVi's actual recent performance, but potential to perform. The thing with NaVi is that if you give them enough games, they will eventually figure teams out. So even though they look like garbage right now, they are still scary if they can some how claw into a Bo5 series against DK. On paper, DK can do everything NaVi can do but better but NaVi still has their reputation. NaVi can bomb out of every remaining LAN until TI4 and still be considered one of the most dangerous teams who can upset anyone.

NaVi didn't get their reputation by accident and it will take consistent failure from them before they lose that rep.

People hype about the orb change of Ursa. Its really an insignificant change once you realise that life steal is not an important item for Ursa all this while.

I agree about navi. Too many people write them off so easily after poor performances. They are a really good team once they get their rhythm going. Its going to take a massive consistent slump before you should start writing them off.

@wuhan_clan, I won't consider NaVi as a major threat at TI4 after their TI3 showing, people tend to extremely overrate this team.

It'll be neat to see them eliminated in LB by Empire / Cloud 9 / Fnatic.
I think their strategy is to dumpster bad Western teams (c) uriel

I get that, of course. On reputation alone, they'd be the best contenders. But I think Dota has reached the point that it's gotten extremely hard to bank on that underdog-momentum-mentality, to the point that I think Na'Vi's star is fading away, and the talented, hard working new blood (EG, C9) will soon surpass them, being generally (very loose term here, but Na'Vi has been known to be lazy scrimmers) more hardcore in terms of work ethic.

I guess I'll just agree with you all that Na'Vi might have a chance, but I'm not gonna bet on that anymore. Heck, even MVP Phoenix has a chance with QO.

In terms of fighting, no, lifesteal isn't so important. Life steal was just a means to solo Roshan. Blink and BKB are still the 2 most important items for him.

Exactly. The only reason Ursa went Vlad is for roshan. BT everyone blindly builds it. The main item is as you said blink + bkb. Maybe now you could have oov, or satanic over heart late game. But the core items/strengths for him remain the same.
