So, I've been noticing a few people doing this thing in some games where they take axe and another tanky hero (abbadon or centaur are the combo's I've seen so far). and go past the enemy's t1 tower and they tank the creeps so their creep wave hits your tower/heroes (this is lower level, so usually 2v2 lanes). Both times I've thought little of it and tried to kill them with me and my carry/support, but man, that shit hurts. I don't know if this is something new someone did on a stream recently, or if it's an established thing and I just don't know about it because I'm newer. What are some good things to do versus this kind of thing? In one game we ended up having a mid who afk farmed, so we lost a tower early, and the other game our mid actually showed up and we killed them. Obviously, though, you can't always count on other players in pubs, so is there anything to do that doesn't involve a gank?

best counter to axe early game are ranged heroes who can kite him + minus armor. vs's terror is great for early minus armor and dazzle's heal can wreck axe while in mid game you can try using medallion on him.

while they backdoor your creeps its also nice for one of your heroes to stay under the tower to try last hit creeps

and yes it's an established thing

Yeah Dazzle is strong, can just heal the creepwave so Axe takes a lot of damage.

Shutting it down as soon as possible is important as well. Letting them skip for a few levels will just mean they can go towerdive very soon after.

Heroes with just very strong level 1 spells, like veno + sven does really well vs it.

How the hell do you play Lone Druid? He seems completely useless because all you can do is right click.

Why do people build Mjollnir on Akasha? I've seen pro games where they go Boots Bottle PT Orchid BKB Mjollnir but never understood why they'd go for the hammer when Guinsoo and Aghy are on the table?

Is there a preferred site for looking at hero guides? I'm transitioning back into DotA from HoN and a year of League and don't know how the new ones work (as far as both strategy and button mashing). On top of that, the game seems to have changed a bit, like how Krob and Potm are played as supports early now.

Why do people say DotA heroes are more OP than League champs? Not a strategy question but it's something I've been curious about.

Please and thank you.

I would say they seem more OP mainly because you get punished for mistakes in dota compared to league where it feels like everything does less damage and a mistake can be fixed with a summoner spell like flash.

You get your bear something like Radiance or Maelstrom + Basher (idk if you actually go Mael + Basher) and you sit back while your bear kills everyone and absolutely wrecks towers.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Learn how to lasthit. His bear hits really hard, you just need items. He's naturally tanky but somewhat of a slow farmer. Get midas, phase, maelstrom, ac on the bear. And then go either MKB or BKB or Basher. You can go double bash for you and your bear.

Good items for you are Ghost scepter, HH, Sheep, Vlads, Abyssal.

He has two abilities that makes him and his bear hit harder in W and D so use them. Somewhat micro reliant but really strong when done properly. Safelane is the best lane for him and usually with a support you know. Sylla needs lvl 5 as soon as possible so the support need to let him get there early.

He can be played very effectively offlane, as he can use the bear to intercept and draw the enemy creep wave to his tower, much like how offlane furion is played.

hes actually quite bad at offlane ever since the patch where they nerfed the bear resummon/tp. now you just simply pop your cds to kill the bear easy 300gold.

not the most simple hero to learn/play at effectively at a high level. in lower level pubs though you can snowball quite easily by demolishing towers. if you arent lazy and likes to micro hes a pretty strong midlaner since its pretty much 2 vs 1.

what's the best build to quickly start taking down towers boys (as lone druid)? It's still armlet right? You probably need regen on bear but idk if battlefury is a legit bear item.

? i'm pretty sure its maelstrom into ac still simply because clearing the creep wave rapidly helps your tower presure, AC reduces tower armor, etc.

You could go deso if you really care about towers but bear just loooooves that attackspeed. Bear also doesn't need regen if he's low you can resummon or run him back to base while ur hero farms a safe lane. Bfury technically works but is awful

Not legit pretty sure. All of the mana regen goes to waste and cleave is mostly pointless. Entangle procs are usually your key to locking someone down and hacking away at them. Any cleave targets can just move away in most situations. The bfury build up doesn't really do you any good either. I think in all cases you'd be getting more from maelstorm and properly microing the bear.

Lone Druid kills towers pretty fine with phase boots and one gloves of haste and level 7.

Just build maelstrom.

As per the Mjollnir on Akasha question, most recent was DK's Mushi QOP vs Arteezy Naga. It's added AoE damage to deal with illusion based heroes, and also has synergy with her usual core item of Orchid. If no illusion heroes are present, Mjollnir is better skipped for Bkb/sheep/aghanims and overall Desolator is a better orb on Akasha.

I noticed that when you add a player card to your compendium, there's a number next to that player in the team index. Adding multiple cards raises the number---is there any reason to add multiples of the same card? Do you get a reward or something?
Can someone please explain/how water falls with no rain?

how does omnislash interact with jugg's regular attacks? according to the description on liquipedia,

Juggernaut continues to attack normally in addition to the Omnislashes while jumping around. In these attacks, Juggernaut can place buffs and trigger chance effects such as Blade Dance.

how do his attacks work? does he attack whomever you are hitting with omnislash at the time?

Yes. Note that each jump interrupts his attack so you need certain thresholds of attackspeed to get 1 or 2 hits off per jump.

what about mjolnir for the right clicks even when there are no illusion heroes?

can you get a casual maelstrom and build into it later?

If you want to sure, but I think if there is no illusion heroes making a threat, Desolator is way better than Mjollnir overall imo.
