if you play alot of dota your mmr is probably pretty accurate of your actual skill and shouldnt fluctuate greatly. i only told that guy above to play mid because he already does it when hes mmr drops low to get it back up.
it is without a doubt that the mid player makes the most impact in the game and if you think you are better than people your own mmr and want to raise it to a level you belong thats exactly what you should do. but then again if you are actually better than the mmr region you are in, you can random and still win 80%+ your games, mid is just a faster and more effective way.
mid role is not as easy as people think, some people simply makes no impact once they get crushed mid, and rotate blindly and waste even more time. and unless you are amazing dont play farming mids. play heroes that can make an impact even if you somehow lose mid.

ward trapping is generally easiest if you hex > wards a little in front of them
or euls > trap but euls is kind of mediocre gotta get dat aghs refresh
puck gets treads for treadswapping with bottle. phase is p good too for laning
he does a p decent amount of autoattack damage lategame, its not amazing but you still get like 200 damage autoattacks with sheep + refresh/shivas

Ward trapping is most easily executed with Hex (because the hero graphics is moved so close to the ground hitbox). Imma try to explain though. They spawn like this:

(O = wards, X = no ward)
and the middle of your cursor is where the middle hole (mid X in the second row) will be. The main importance is that the hole appears on ground level, whereas most people click at the middle of the hero hitbox which means that they can easily squeeze out. The trick is to aim low on the hitbox (where the hero circle underneath the hero hits the ground) instead of in the middle of the hero.
You can't disable Tiny toss - just don't stand next to him if possible.
Also; Puck PTs is for poor base HP.

As visage is there any point of holding your aghs in your inventory after you summon your birds? Does dropping the aghs after you summon affect the birds?

Hitpoints, mana, ability to resummon the birds in a fight?

What would you even drop it for? Even a core Visage will almost never get so farmed that he wants to drop Aghanim's for another item.

are you trying to be more efficient with bottling yourself by dropping aghs? i wouldnt drop huge game changing items like aghs to be more efficient with bottling its not worth the risk.
and there no other item that you would want to replace aghs with on visage. those lvl 16 familiars are hella strong and demolish buildings/heroes in seconds.

Why do people build Mjollnir on Akasha? I've seen pro games where they go Boots Bottle PT Orchid BKB Mjollnir but never understood why they'd go for the hammer when Guinsoo and Aghy are on the table?
Is there a preferred site for looking at hero guides? I'm transitioning back into DotA from HoN and a year of League and don't know how the new ones work (as far as both strategy and button mashing). On top of that, the game seems to have changed a bit, like how Krob and Potm are played as supports early now.
Why do people say DotA heroes are more OP than League champs? Not a strategy question but it's something I've been curious about.

You can use Torte's in-game guides (they'll be named 6.81 standard something something).
Dota heroes are more "OP" than LoL champs for reasons including but not limited to: much longer stun durations (2-5 second stuns vs 0.5-2 sec stuns, existence of bashes, not to mention all the shit that gives you ministun), much more potent slow/silence, harder hitting nukes with no items (LoL champs need a lot of items for their skills to burst as hard as strong Dota nukers), huge range on blinks, huge aoe effects like black hole / rp / chrono are simply not present in LoL. Basically most LoL ults could potentially be a q on a Dota hero.
Of course, one of the reasons for this is all LoL spells are much more spammable; it'd be a bit ridiculous if spells were as strong as Dota spells are.
