I also tested this directly the last time this question was asked.
Oh. My life has been a lie. Then keeping that qb as AM for an unreasonable long time to farm faster with bf is not actually true. I wonder how I got that false information

It's still true, because it evens out your main hit damage with the cleave damage. Without a QB with your BF, you kill a lot of camps 1-2 hits slower because the cleave damage kills your secondary targets faster than your main hit target.
This is most obvious with the black dragon ancients--with QB+BF you kill the small dragons on exactly the same hit you kill the big one. With just BF, the small dragons die slightly earlier so you spend a little bit longer hitting the big dragon with nothing to cleave.

So, I don't post that often, but I thought I might throw this out there and see if people could confirm whether my friends and I got stomped by the real real Chuan, Burning, etc. Not really sure how you'd go about confirming this, but I thought I'd see if any TLers would point out any glaringly obvious details.

i think its pretty glaringly obvious when chuan, yaphets, 2009 are using their team tags from like 4 years ago.

shouldn't you hit the smallar dragons first? they have less armour, which means more pure damage being dealt to the huge ass dragon

Can someone link me the thread about modding the Dota2 with steam commands? It had stuff like making icons bigger on minimap and a bunch more.

Said target would need about 31 armor for a single battle fury cleave to do more damage than right clicking it. Stacked agility carry might have that much, but not the neutral creeps. Only 35% of your damage is cleaved.

I'm practicing Kaolin in single player, however, neither -wtf nor -refresh gives me unlimited stones. Is there any commando to give me new stones?

Neither the main target nor the cleaved target's armor apply. That's the point, the main target does have armor reduction for himself, so ignoring armor does more damage (if you had 100% cleave).

For all creep camps in the game the differences in armor and hp between the small and big creeps is, respectively, so small and so big that it is never worth attacking the small ones.
No creep has such high armor that it is worth it to cleave to bypass the armor with 1 battlefury. By the time you have 2 or 3 battlefuries your damage is so high that it doesn't significantly reduce the number of hits you need to clear the camp.

Yeah, I tried "Modding dota 2", "Editing dota 2" and quickly ran out of ideas lol.

Not really an important or helpful question, but on Lion, do you guys prefer to get Arcane boots and Hex maxed by LVL 9/10 or Tranqs and an early two points of Mana Drain?

Why are people (in pubs and progames) still building Linken's on Weaver in grossly inappropriate scenarios?
Linken's is completely useless in most scenarios, but people act like it's a core item on him. Except in scenarios where he needs to exclusively split push like a Furion there's no reason to build it as a first item. My favourite games are the ones where Weaver goes Linken's when it does nothing for him and then builds a BKB after, because it's the item he actually needed to make first (and not the Linken's at all). The irony is that there are far more scenarios where BKB first is best, and yet that build seems uncommon. For a while the Chinese seemed to switch away from Linken's builds, but the games I've seen recently suggest they've reverted for some reason.
Why are people delaying good items pointlessly by 5k gold?
|
So your'e asking why people are terrible at itemizing? Well that would be because it's the hardest aspect of the game
|
Yeah the Linkens first thing is a bit crazy because the average pub doesn't try other things. I've seen many nightmare Weavers that never contribute to fights and just try to farm it up too late. As a personal standard for Weaver, I've always had the mindset of being a sustained cannon who desperately needs more damage over survivability. So I try for Midas into Desolator into BKB/Linkens.

No it isn't, because for this case and a lot of others, people are afraid to try alternatives.

Why are people delaying good items pointlessly by 5k gold? because people watch pros and blindly copy item builds. i remember when treads on naix was completely normal, and personally i still like it more than phase, but nowadays you see every single naix in pubs going phase (drums). same thing with weaver
