So what are scrolls worth when trading? Seems logical to loose one u need to give them money because the they loose atleast 6 rares when they use the item.....
Probably. I think most people would be willing to trade 6 rares from heroes they don't play for a chance at a mythical they could actually use.
6 rares + 3 named rares is pretty rough though.

Unless you can somehow right click pudge without him fighting back, but I can't think of a melee hero besides naix who could do that without already outplaying pudge. he won't just rot u and run circles aorund u.
and i don't know what kind of games you guys play. but a pudge won't just randomly run at u level 1 and try 2 rot u down or something cause he will never win this "trade". and vs a melee he for sure doesn't have any kill potential till lvl 5/6.

I must play a different game. i will trade anyday as a melee vs pudge and shit on him.
even tho it mostly never happens and he eats a spell every now and then when u last hit iwth it.

Why i ask is that these scrolls basically gives valve more priceregulation on items (or atleast some influence). This because a scroll states now that a mythical item is worth a minimum of 6 rares and in my case, a maximum of 6ares+3predefined items. So, in general i think its because valve wants to steer the prices on the market (which is fine i find 38k for a coerier not cool). If so, the scroll should be worth alot of items because u get a mythical item right? Or is a mythical item worth a minimal of 6 rares according too valves priceregulation/steering?

Quality doesnt really matter honestly. I dont like that valve is trying to regulate it if that is their goal. There are rare that are worth more than mystical and there are uncommon that worth more than rare. It just depends on how much people are willing to pay for it. I dont think many people are going to try and use these scrolls because they are such a high risk. 6 random Rare is approximately 1 key. So gambling 1 key to potentially get a mystical isnt that good considering most mystical are worth about the same as a rare anyways.

The ones that are probably going to see most use are Rares->Rare or Common/Uncommon->Uncommon/Rare because of how Rares vary so widely in value and trading in worthless rares for a shot at one that's worth something could be reasonable, and how the majority of Commons/Uncommons are effectively 0 value.

The scrolls are just an item sink, and a good idea imo.

Some hero he can just straight up rot and kill. 1 of these for sure is shadow fiend and a melee hero that is suspectible to trading hit with him early would be ember or earth shaker and a few others. Of course this can easily be countered by just buying a stout shield.

any melee can trade against him. his rot isn't some ubergod thing that does 5000 dmg to the enemy. he also huts himself with it.

I think the person above me pretty much state it. SF damage is really weak early with very low bases damage and it pretty hard to hit with all 3 raze on pudge and considering that most SF will get there passive they wont be razing at lvl 1. With a stout shield, pudge can easily kill lvl 1 rot SF to death. Without one, it can be pretty close when factoring in creeps. Of course a good shadow fiend would never let a pudge walk up to him and actually do it but if they do get careless, a pudge can drop a SF at lvl 1.
Edit: ya and most melee does do fine

Yeah a pudge can drop SF lvl 1 when the SF is sitting there jerking off. and i never talked about razing him at level 1 wtf? but he wont kill u at level 1 or 2.

Stout shield vs ring of protection, which scenario is each best for?
|
get a stout if you're melee and a RoP if you're ranged and want tranquil or aquilla

Get ring of protection when you know you'll be getting Basilius or Tranquils, especially on ranged heroes. On melee's I'd generally pick stout in every case except for trilane farmer against a offlaner that has no very little potential to harrass with right-clicks. Stout Shield gives more EHP for the early game, but it's obviously weaker for ranged heroes. My rule of thumb would be pretty much: melee -> stout and ranged -> RoP if there is something I want to build from it, such as tranqs on CM or Aquila on Weaver.

when u go invis as bh/clinkz, whilst already invis, do opponent see you or the "puff of smoke" animation that always plays? to this day i go hide behind a tree before refreshing my invis just incase....
