Why not? Does his ulti hit that hard when you eblade? I mean morph has some of the best stats growth in the game and you are primarly building heavy stats on him so his intellect would be fairly high. I think it still good since your W is such short CD compare to his ulti so most of the time he will be getting zap instead of you but I never run into this situation myself so no idea what to think.

Maybe doom. Pudge can't turn off rot when he's doomed, so that's a ton of damage.

doom doesnt count. he technically counters everyone
blink heroes dont count either, cause theyre still shit against pudge if theyre caught. and its easy to get caught
if were talking heroes that can actually just turn around and kill pudge it would be heroes like naix. put naix in the same lane as pudge and pudge literally cant do anything. naix is also strong against pudge at all other stages of the game.
if were talking heroes that can nullify his impact in the game, then heroes like es/dazzle/earth spirit etc are very good. heroes that can save teammates/disrupt pudge from range.

Well pudge genereally goes mid, many mid hero counter him pretty hard and if they wreck him in lane then he not as scary as long as he not very successful with ganks. Good hero that counter him mid is viper, invoker, bat rider, naix etc etc and the list goes on. So my answer would be get a strong hero to counter him mid and get ward to shut down his ganking potential and then he is nothing. Only thing to worry about is smoke gank from him.

you could also add bristle and abbadon to that list, just because it really doesn't matter to them if pudge hooks them. If your micro is good enough you could counter with meepo

But i'm guessing that if you are having trouble vs pudge meepo is only going to make the problem worse.

There are a lot of vs. melee matchups that are favorable for Pudge. Particularly a lot of the weaker bottle-crowing heroes.

Obviously he loses vs ranged heroes with strong harassment, but many of those can instantly be turned if he gets a level 6 solo kill.

I don't see any melee Hero that pudge has a favorable MU against (even non legit Mids). break even is the best thing u can hope for.

Pudge out-man-fights weaker melee mids off of his higher base stats and higher threat zone because of Meat Hook's Pure damage. Pretty much any of the weak laning bottle-crow mids (e.g. DK, Magnus, Beastmaster) lose to him pre-bottle. He can essentially just trade aggressively against them, and in order for them to not lose those trades they have to use mana to use spells on him, which means those spells aren't used to pick up lasthits for their bottle.

i gladly trade with a pudge at any level as a melee.

I don't see his "higher base stats". the only thing he has going for him are the 40-100 hp more. but he has 1 armor. which is garbage compared to most mids. auto attack dmg range is pretty much the same on the 3 u mentioned.

DK Magnus Beastmaster all have big Aoe nukes so i don't see why u wouldn't get a last hit with ru spell and harass him at the same time.

They don't destroy him like a Puck , Qop or Viper. but i don't see any situation of him winning his lane unless he outplays them big time.

I'm honestly surprised we don't see more pudge in offlane anymore. Yes, slower levels will make him a lot weaker midgame which is where he is suppose to be strongest. But it does open up mid for someone else, and he absolutely wrecks most lanes with his high hook damage and the slow from rot. Even worse if they do the mistake of putting a weak carry in the safelane which is the norm in pubs these days.

edit: I meant as part of a dual lane. He wont do nearly as well on his own for obvious reasons.

40-100 level 1 HP is enormous in early level trades especially on a hero that has a skill that rapidly trades down his HP evenly with yours, and has a pure damage nuke that puts you in kill range far before your AoE nukes do the same to him.

An armor advantage is only an advantage in hp if we're talking mainly about physical damage.
Rot and Hook are neither, so armor difference is largely irrelevant.

Unless you can somehow right click pudge without him fighting back, but I can't think of a melee hero besides naix who could do that without already outplaying pudge.

I got three rare recipie scrolls:

1. u insert 6 rares (i dont even have 1 rare) and then u get 1 mythical item (got two of these).
1. u insert 6 rares+ 3 items i dont even know and then u get 1 mythical item

So what are scrolls worth when trading? Seems logical to loose one u need to give them money because the they loose atleast 6 rares when they use the item.....
