The free rapier CANNOT be removed from the holder's inventory. It may only drop on death. Thus, rapier is never a shareable item in any way.

Its a shareable item that's undroppable.

Basically the shareable property = fully functional for someone who's picked it up but is not the owner. Undroppable = cannot be dropped once it's placed into your inventory. Unmuted rapier has both of these properties.

The name shareable implies that you can actually transfer it between inventories, so I guess it's a confusing word to use, but technically it's correct.

When is radiance a good thing to buy? I'm unsure what situations/heroes it's good for.

Radiance is best on heroes that don't build into other farming items and can't otherwise farm very quickly
mostly spectre and sylla
you want to get radiance if you have free farm or very close to free farm
farming a straight 3800 item is pretty difficult to do if you die or have your farm contested
a lot of times i'll see carries get free farm ish for the first 5-10 minutes but once the other team starts hitting six and starts ganking, they'll get ganked and die and that "fast" 15 minute radiance turns into a 25 minute radiance
pay attention to the other team's line up, if they're really gank heavy and have good disables, maybe radiance is not the best choice

there should also be a reason (fighting wise) to get it, sylla can split push a lot harder once he gets radiance, and can really do mean burn damage to underlevelled supports
spectre does insane damage with haunt, combining burn and desolate damage
HOWEVER radiance doesn't give you hp or stats, only damage and burn damage
so if the other team is tanky(ish) they can kill you before you can do anything because you'll still have relatively poor stats
so sometimes people like to get phase drums first (on spectre) and just finish radiance by like ~25
bear is a little easier to go fast radiance because most of the time you'll be getting a bunch of tower gold quite early

tldr: get it on heroes that need to farm for late game BUT you know you won't be dying early game
if you are going to be under any kind of pressure, go for midas and start building your core items

if happy ever afters did exist <3 @watamizu_

I cannot seem to play a good morphing ever. He just seems so hard to bring online. I primarily play support but I can play carries like luna ld am naix but morph I have hardly won on. I normally go linken to manta to skadi. I can't seem to fight till manta at least. I try split pushing with him too. Any pointers or tips? Or is it just a lack of farm

He's tougher to play due to his items not necessarily increasing his ability to farm, unlike most other carries. His greatest strength lies in being able to get out of most tough situations and thus being able to more easily finding farm without the fear of being ganked, as well as his ability to just jump into any teamfight at any time. Your use of his ulti is often what differs bad morph players from the good ones.

While a valid build, I personally dislike linkens on him as his first item. Sure it solves some mana issues as well as making you even harder to kill than you already are, but it also shoves your usefulness way later in the game. Drums makes you much more useful even in early teamfights. From there you can go for Eblade for ganking, or manta for farm and pushing.

Skadi isn't a very good item on him at any time tbh. There's just too many other carry items that you need.

The latest update said: "Roshan can no longer be hexxed or stunned during Sugar Rush."

But during my game last night, I clearly saw Rosh getting stunned via abyssal (not sure if it's the passive or active stun) and Lion managed to land Hex on him. What's up with that?

Somewhat unintuitively, Skadi is actually quite good as a first item on Morphling. It gives you enough mana to prevent you from needing to go home after every fight, but also does not commit you to spending a lot of gold on regen stats the way Linken's does, so is overall more combat focused, while giving you solo kill threats against heroes that cannot escape the perma-slow.

The thing is that Skadi should usually transition into another damage item. Skadi+Linken or Skadi+BKB means you can't die but you also do no damage.

I was actually going to add this as an option, but I dislike it because of the horrendous buildup skadi is when buying it as a first item (every part of it being very expensive that is. yes, I know every part gives you decent stats, but think about the GoP you will have during this phase of the game. A single death will set you far back. Much of the same problem a BF has on other carries. The difference is that a BF instantly boosts your farming potential by infinite, being useful even if its slow. A slow skadi due to lack of farm and/or a couple of deaths is 100% useless). The usefulness of doing this is highly dependent on the lineups

Pretty much every first major item option that Morph can buy has a shitty buildup. It's probably Morph's biggest shortcoming as a pub hero.

Well in that sense, would it be okay to do something like RoA -> Treads -> Yasha and then Skadi. Or at that point is it just better to go Manta first?

Why would you get the casual Yasha in there?

The thing is that Morph's midgame is gated by his mana the most because of how demanding Morph (and all his skills for that matter) is on your mana and how max rank Waveform is used as a farming skill if you have the mana to support it. A casual Yasha does't give you anything that you need at that point.

Radiance is quite good on illusion heroes in general.
Spectre was already mentioned, but Naga and PL, too. Not Chaos Knight though, his illusions have way too long cooldown.
You can send some illussions off to carry your burn aura to creeps around the map, making it quite viable.
Also illusion heroes naturally would buy heart of tarrasque or similar hp item after their first damage item anyway.

The only 2 constraints radiance has is that it gets weaker in fights the shorter the fights are/the more hp your enemies have and that it has a really slow buildup during which you tend to just lose the game.

I used to like radiance on Weaver, too. He needs more hp very much though, and he tends to peak quite early. Meaning that if you get the money to buy radiance, the game is most likely already won or close to being won.

i often buy rad if i have a good early game axe it delays some tank items but it helps you get them faster post-rad and makes you much annoying in team fights

Since I've been redirected here from GD thread:

What's the best way to deal with a good CW apart from picking hard counters? At this point I'm thinking Euls/forcestaff on supports and solid ward coverage. Had a few games where i stomped hard with him, feeling like I'm Bulba or smth, even though I'm not that good. Then played against a good CW and he chewed through our team with his ganks (having seeker on opp team didn't help), while creating a ton of room for the rest of his team. I kinda knew we were boned once I realized he was pretty good. Even after i told my team that only chance we have to win is to have good vision and we need to watch for his rotations.. still didn't matter

Force staff for your supports and bkb for your carries. Constant warding and not letting your supports walk around alone is key to not feeding him (same goes for any ganker).

Clock is a good hero, and can wreck in the hands of a good player. But chances are he could equally outplay you with tons of other heroes. There really isnt a universal rule on how to not let the better player ruin your day.

Can anyone enlighten me about the socketing system?

I have a speed demon with an etheral and a prismatic gem. Can i socket theese into any other items and they get the awesome glow effect? (Like LD bear or ultimate form) Does the courier get destroyed in the progress?

Edit:
Finally found something about this myself. Not only does removing the gems destroy the courier but you can also socket them into other couriers.

There go my dreams of the golden glowing panda. Volvo patch please !

In various threads I have heard references to items and "orbs". For example:

"Dont think it worth the orb since you are going to build ember for damage and not DPS. So he will have rather poor attack speed. With poor attack speed and DPS but high damage, I dont see the point of building a satanic on him. I would rather build a desolater on him if I had the choice of an orb or possibly a skadi."

I have heard it used a lot about different items. What does that mean exactly? And I'm pretty sure I've heard it used in reference to some spells. What does that mean? Thanks!

Orb = unique attack modifier, gives your autoattack additional effect
Some item's give orb:Satanic gives lifesteal, deso gives -armor, skadi slow and so on.
Some hero abilities like AM mana burn, clinkz searing arrows, OD arcane orb..
You can usually only have 1 orb effect meaning you can't stack them.
Example SF can build desolator or satanic for orb. Both won't work at same time.
There's some exceptions: Skadi works with lifesteal, skadi works with searing arrows, AM and Ursa can have lifesteal(edit; yea you need vlads =).

Basically additional effect that is added to your attacks. Only one can be active at any one time. Examples include lifesteal, desolator's negative armor, and certain spells such as viper's poison attack, drow's ice arrows, clinkz's searing arrows, etc etc.
