What? No. If you have a Rubick with Alchemist ultimate level 3, 5 astrals (+50 INT), and a Bloodstone with 8 charges having 5 Scythes maximizes mana regeneration. Here are the numbers.

[12 + (104.6 + 50 + INT)*0.04] * [3 + Scythes% + Refreshers%] + 8 [if Bloodstone = yes]

-- With Bloodstone --

5 Scythes = 272.432

4 Scythes 1 Refresher Orb = 272.264

3 Scythes 2 Refresher Orbs = 270.936

2 Scythes 3 Refresher Orbs = 268.448

1 Scythe 4 Refresher Orbs = 264.8

5 Refresher Orbs = 259.992

-- No Bloodstone --

6 Refresher Orbs = 255.112

1 Scythe 5 Refresher Orbs = 259.8

2 Scythes 4 Refresher Orbs = 263.328

3 Scythes 3 Refresher Orbs = 265.696

4 Scythes 2 Refresher Orbs = 266.904

5 Scythes 1 Refresher Orb = [12+(104.6+50+181)*0.04] * [1+7.5+2] = 266.952

6 Scythes = 265.84

What is the best thing to do when players overextend and do things that they shouldn't do?
Think like, one or two players constantly try to engage, badly positioned, dies terribly and repeat the same mistakes again and again.

I observe a serious number of my lose games are because of terrible, unnecessary, out-positioned engagements by my team. They always ask me why wouldn't die with them and accuse me for being noob. It is very clear that you shouldn't roam like headless chicken at night without wards to enemy jungle. You shouldn't force team fights if you have no team fight line-up.
Maybe stay in lane and farm is an option but I don't play a carry all the time. Stacking is the only answer?

Try talking to them and tell them what the plan from now on is. Sometimes they listen, most times they don't, and sometimes they will call you a faggot and noob before running off to die 20 times from the same mistake, before calling you a faggot and a noob again because reason X.

It wont make a difference what role you play, if your team are idiots, there is nothing you can really do (Although playing a midlane ganker will help you win more games as you'll directly influence how the game goes, instead of watching someone else fail at their job..or at least if you wont be helpless as an underfarmed carry or a squishy support). If you want a game with actual competitiveness and proper strategy, you'll either have to wait until that one time you're lucky and get people who aren't braindead, or you stack, yes.

If you notice a pattern, the enemies will too. Typically once they kill one of those guys once or twice, they'll get careless ganking him a 3rd time. Just get some of your teammates, camp out behind him when he's far out, and countergank them. They probably won't expect it if he died easily the first 2 times, which means you can probably counter-kill 1-2, then turn that into a tower kill.

Well, it is not the gank pattern rather continuous purposeless aggression which turns into feed in the end.
Let's say enemy is randomly 5 man pushing mid tower early(before 10 min) which is clearly wouldn't work if 2-4 players, depends on lineup, hug tower, spam skills and glyph. While carry can farm freely and took the advantage right?
No, rather these 2-3 smart guys run to the river, getting caught by ultimates, nukes, disables, died without deal any damage at all, blame others for not helping them.

Maybe I should broaden the question: How do you deal with teammates clearly making a lot of fundamental mistakes?
I generally am an active player, gank other lanes, try to help, counter gank etc.. but I lose some games without having any effect because of these kind of silly, fundamental mistakes. I make similar mistakes too not the best player, just I need a B plan for these kind of games.

That's not any easy question.

There are multiple approaches to Dota, and being incredibly aggressive is not inherently bad. Whether or not your teammates do mistakes all the time is something we can't be sure of.
Anyway:
Talking is an option("let's play more defensive" "what you do is too dangerous"), trying to outfarm the enemy team is an option and the last option is to join them and turn bad engagements around with your own hands.

And that's literally it.

Yea it really depends on your hero, their heroes, and how badly they are feeding. Sometimes if you show up to the fight then that'll be enough to turn the tides and give you the win, but other times even if you're there they will die anyway and it's a lost cause, in which case you're better off just farming elsewhere and trying to tell them to not die in a polite manner.

I feel like eye of the storm is good at 6 for razor - am i in the minority here? I see pros skip it for later (xiaotuji comes to mind).

At level 6 it is often hard to ensure that there are no low-HP creeps around, especially if you are for example going link max.

Razor really needs: Max nuke for wavespam and because its a very good AoE nuke, Max link because it's his most broken skill and what allows him to actually be good, and at least 1 point in his passive since he needs the MS to abuse link and the first point is very very good.

His ult is strong but it needs to be weighed against the other options.

eye of the storm is a strong spell but since it doesnt always direct the damage where you want it and it cant be used to push without aghs, I will sometimes skip it for an extra point in your nuke or link which gives you a nice boost to damage as well.

In these situations, I think it's important to look at the replay. Often-times when you are defending a tower as 4 and the opponent attacking as 5, it's very easy to think that you are weaker because they are the attacker and because your carry is off pushing another lane you should just stall. However, if you examine the replay, particularly in pubs, it's often the case that with your carry TPing in after the fight starts, it would be an easy teamfight win based on the heroes/items in question.

Sometimes, the aggression isn't purposeless. Most important, you should always start by questioning your understanding of the game first--evaluate whether you really couldn't win that fight, and THEN decide whether those people were idiots. Because quite honestly if there were 4 of you on tower, and 3 of them thought that you could win that fight, maybe the fight really was winnable if you actively engaged.

I'm a conscientious objector to the new system that would have me discuss a hero in threads with OPs that are guides I heavily disagree with. I'll discuss the guide in that thread (its very well constructed from an aesthetic perspective) but I will not discuss all the various niceties of the hero that have nothing to do with said guide in that thread. Heroes in dota are far too flexible and situational for the new system to be even remotely applicable.

Simple questions are still appropriate here.

I'd say if it can be answered in 1-2 lines, it's fine here.

The guide isn't meant to be the focal point of discussion in the hero threads.

The problem with having guide discussion per guide is that if you have multiple guides for heroes spread across multiple threads, you get a lot of people discussing guides and very few people discussing the hero. So you add to subforum clutter as well as resulting in an overall reduction in actual discussion about the heroes themselves. What I've noticed is that guide threads typically have the first 3-4 pages discuss the guide content, and after that over the longer term, the thread of discussion tends to focus on the hero, and the guide simply acts as a reference for newer players learning the hero.

The role of the guide writer/OP of the hero discussion threads is primarily to act as a curator who takes the information from the discussion in the thread (and elsewhere) and condenses it in a way that's easy for new players to read that doesn't involve reading the entire thread once the thread gets to be 10-15 pages long. It's not for the guide to be the driving point of the discussion.

At the same time though it's so sad how much really awesome knowledge in this thread is lost or inaccessible because of how scattered the discussion is. There's a lot of great build discussions I've seen mentioned in this thread that I have trouble finding later on.
