Create a private lobby and set the mode to "only mid" (this allows duplicate heroes). Put a password on the lobby and share said password with the person you wish to 1v1. They can find the game via the password or via the "friends lobbies" button.

It was exaggerated cause most of the videos of new bloodseeker featured him stacked with 6 slots of movement speed items vs 5 idle bots on low health. In a real game it doesn't come into play that often, and you still have to deal with being disabled or having someone TP out, which can potentially leave you stranded out of position if you chased too far.
I still think BS can be a strong counter pick to melee carries, especially lifestealer, with the new rupture. Dota isn't only about 1v1 interactions tho, sorta similar to how Razor never got played when lifestealer was a first pick despite countering the hero.
His cast animation is also garbage. Any hero you'd want to silence to prevent an escape, has a decent (.3) cast animation, so the only way you'd get it off is by casting out of vision.
Pre-patch he was pretty nice against heroes that rely on movement speed to survive, the old phase drums types. If you got a halberd, you could actually team fight reasonably well: you ult some speed carry, silence a support, and halberd some stand and fight carry (or protect yourself against the silenced hero).
My team keeps losing to push strats with mass necro books in TMM. Any ideas for how to handle this? If you AOE you die, if you split push they just mow you down.

There is a couple of heroes that can deal with necroes, templar can use refraction to lasthit the blue ones, lifestealer can rage and kill the blue ones, puck can orb and phase to kill the blue one. Chen and enchantress can use them for themselves. Maybe Doom can eat it, not sure how that works. If you know for sure that you are going to get necro pushed before picks end I would try to get a four man anti push group and one hero dedicated for split push, natures, tinker, weaver, sf, drow, spectre or something along those lines. Just make sure the split pusher can be ready to tp back when your opponents are actually committing inside your base.
If they are grouping up as five to take early towers t1/t2 and you are not strong enough to fight yet just use this time to farm effectively on all heroes, Whatever you do dont stand there watching them kill your towers without getting something in return. Trading should be the name of the game until they are actually hitting your base towers.
If you manage to stop one push inside the base the next one should be easier for all of that extra gold you got from kills and necro minions. Just try to drag the game out at all cost, you can still win as long as throne is standing
Is blademail really effective on axe? Berserker's call forces enemies to hit you sure, but then they can barely pierce the 40 armor. Blademail doesn't seem that effective since axe's q nullifies damage dealt back with blademail, and enemies just choose to attack someone else while blademail is active. Is blademail worth it on axe?

If you go for vanguard etc and heavy armor, if they don't have many pure or magical damage it may not be worth it. But AOE magical damages are returned too so in the battle it may be hard for other team to leave Axe out of aoe so they get the damage returned anyway. It's situational really.

Well when the game drags on and carries start to hit a whole lot harder then yes. I had this game once in Dota 1 where Legion Commander Dueled Phantom Assassin then activated Blade Mail. We couldn't stop laughing when PA died to her own crit.

It still returns damage against extremely high dps heroes (16 and 2/3 armor is +100% ehp, so 40 is about +250%). It's very good against orb attackers like OD, silencer. And aoe heroes (death prophet, gyro without bkb, used to be awesome against rhasta wards, not sure anymore). It doesn't work against witch doctor death ward, which is really weird.
But overall blademail is not good when several sources collectively focus you down, in which case you're done maybe 1/4 damage to 4 people, and you're dead and useless. Then 2200 gold would be better spent on a way to help your team or a way to help you survive longer.

They are and they do. Maybe they missed or target had no mana or target was magic immune (pretty sure BKB blocks it) ?
