It's very good against orb attackers like OD, silencer. And aoe heroes (death prophet, gyro without bkb, used to be awesome against rhasta wards, not sure anymore). It doesn't work against witch doctor death ward, which is really weird. But overall blademail is not good when several sources collectively focus you down, in which case you're done maybe 1/4 damage to 4 people, and you're dead and useless. Then 2200 gold would be better spent on a way to help your team or a way to help you survive longer. Omg, I had that with nyx thinking I'd be a badass and break his channeling with carapace. Nope, feeder.

Nope, feeder. yeah it doesn't, because the source damage isn't from witch doctor, but from the ward itself. Which incidentally can not be stunned or returned damage to ![]()

Also, I'm starting to play spectre and i'm wondering why more builds don't go for crit items (mainly, i mean the ~2k item that gives you a chance to crit [forget the name but starts with a "c" iirc]) in addition to a refresher orb (but i'm not wondering why most builds go for a diffusal blade, b/c i see the value in that). I guess what am asking is this: can I play a spectre that is ulti-oriented? I.e. can i get power treads, diffusal, crystalis, radiance, refresher, and yasha->sange+yasha (mostly for the % move speed) as my "dream items." And by this build i am basically saying "I will be shit in general, but my ult will be sick as fuck x2). Thoughts?

don't go linkens unless you're hard carry omni. force and/or blink helps much more with getting your spells off

In this game, the other team has a clinkx and a bloodseaker for their carries. Between the 15 and 20 min mark there have been 2 team fights, both of which my team lost (arguably) mainly because of the fact that the clinks used his item to silence me as the teamfight began and once that ran out, the bloodseaker used his stock ability to silence me yet again (leaving me worthless).

If I am supporting against riki, I just drop them everywhere. If I know we are going to be in an area for longer than a minute, sentry. Riki is sort of dog shit without his stealth. But it does mean you are hurting for gold as that support. But it is worth it.

This of course made me worthless, made me feel worthless, and made my allies rage at me for "being worthless." I was hoping for a quick fix and that fix, thus far, seems to be "Determine which enemy hero's are capable of silencing you and stay out of said hero's casting range, you fucking noob."

Nuuuu! there is better advice than this! (at least imo) 1) After riki reaches level 5, be ready to make your best-guess as to when he is at level 5 and 1/2. When that time comes, type something like "Riki is lvl5 and will be 6 soon!" to your team. 2) Once riki reaches level 6, say something like "Riki just got lvl 6, be ready team!" 3) Adapt to lvl 6+ riki. This means you will not, all things being equal, stray as far from your towers as you normally would. This means you will be more likely, all things being equal, to stay within a safe distance from your allies so that they can protect you. Etc. 4) I have lost interest and will not
