No expert, but this is how i do it. Ive been seeing alot of Bountyhunter, Riki, naix and Clinkz picks in pubs, even more than 1 invisi heros in a game. Invisibilty and beeing a prick seems potent, haha Problem is that they can scale pretty hard, so be prepared early. Ofcourse, place 1 blue ward in ur farming zone until u feel comfortable enough.
If i am a (inthero)support in pubs, or most of the time, i buy 1 sort of boot, blue wards and i go omnicromom lvl 3 when they have more then 1 invisi hero. Omnic. got buffed, gives int and str and the ranged unit got detection at lvl 3. At lvl 1 u can push there lanes pretty hard. The blueward placed infront of there tower counters there skill and the omnicrom units at lvl 1 help to punish there greedy appoach of enemy team and take down there towers. The best part is that when pushing towers the omnicron levels itself pretty hard so u will have omnicron lvl 3 pretty early.
Yes, its unconventional but for me it works. I dont like gems in midgame becuz u can loose them and are very expensive. Wards u only have a couple and when the riki's are smart they buy there own gem, and then what!? Omnicron is descent but u will have to delay other items or spam your spells less in early game (less mana). Im still fiddling with it on different hero's but it feels potent.
When only facing 1 invisihero just buy wards, works.

I saw it yesterday during DK vs iG and I guess it does give that gold boost so that the 5 aren't so far behind in item.

^ thats exactly why they get it. for the late game gold that makes supports actually somewhat relevant. the levels is good too

*necronomicon, no idea what a omnicromom is lol :D on the other hand, I just buy a 10 min gem and rape them from there, much cheaper then getting necro 3 and more effective as long as you manage not to get caught out

If the opposing team catches up to your farm, then your team is not doing a good enough job on capitalizing on the early advantages that you managed to build.

Bully your team into taking towers with you so they also get a good start once all outer towers are taken put a ward that covers your jungle, 1 that covers the entrance to their base offlane exit and then sit in their jungle and farm for 5 minutes. Then end the game. Usually 1 person own but its an early midgame hero (My viper games I am usually like 10-2 at one point and end the game 10-10 loosing) and that person is only trying to get kills without doing it to either take towers or coordinating to stop the antimage from freefarming top lane.
Rule of thumb is if the enemy team has more hardcarries than you have you must followup kills with taking towers and if you have more hardcarries you must follow up kills with farming so you dont overextend. Also dont push base to early if you dont have a hard push lineup its a recipie for throw.

Lol, yeah, hell its harder to spell the item then to farm it I never as a int hero will buy a gem because in early game im a bit to squishy i feel. Wards are a bit expensive when u need to ward everything, so omnonicronrorocmom is logical choice

Its completely reasonable to buy a gem to give to someone less squishy as well

One thing that pubs tend to be particularly bad at as well is applying pressure when you're not taking an objective. Just because you're not pushing, ganking, or looking for a fight does not mean retreat to your side of the map and give them space.
Buy a gem, clear their jungle of wards, farm their jungle. Don't let them farm, and if they try to farm, kill them. Just because you aren't actively ending the game does't mean you should suddenly have no pressure at all.

Why vanguard? I see people getting vanguard first on AM or Spectre, I laugh at them and then they win. I get vanguard first on Spectre and then my Radi gets finished at 35 minutes in. I mean what
I seriously don't understand what's the idea with this item, so if someone can enlighten me, please do so.
|
Regen in lane and you can fight before you've farmed 7000 gold.
|
yeah vanguard helps a lot in early fights especially on spec because his innate damage output is so high with desolate and he joins every fight via haunt vg's pretty mediocre on am tho since he relies on 999 gpm to carry the game and vanguard doesn't help him farm
|
VG on AM does not help as much since he can just blink out when farming given that he does not get silenced or chain stunned. He won't be much effective in early fights not unless there's a wandering hero with to Mana around or any other forms of free kills from ganks.
