It says it's magical damage in the wiki, so does this mean that it will 0.75*505 @lvl2 to all heroes as an absolute value unless they have magic resistance or is it an average value like physical damage? Your right. Take it as 0.75 x the listed value unless it has extra magic resistance (AM, Hood, Cloak or Meepo...and Huskar). It's a fixed magic damage spell from what I could remember. If it's physical it's quite useless if you include things like armor values can potentially reduce the damage by what, 50%?

I generally just go bottle boots wand phase blink deso into butterfly or crit, are there any other good choices for her? Is blink a necessity? Its annoying how it delays your damage but it gives such good mobility. I saw on stream just before a TA who went drums yasha instead so maybe the movespeed for that would make up for the mobility lost by skipping blink. I've also seen people go shadowblade on her but seems a little redundant. To expand on Yango's response you should never forget bkb as an alternative to your first "big" item because there are a lot of situations in skirmishes/teamfights early on where you will be required to just run in and start doing stuff. Bkb will ensure that you don't get blown up too quickly. I personally prefer treads/drums/yasha for the stats if I don't need bkb but if you are very far ahead blink dagger into deso which is what you're doing is amazing as well.

This answer isn't quite complete. PL, Pudge, Rubick, and Viper also all have some magic-resist ability that may or may not screw with the math. Otherwise yes though, magic damage does 75% of its damage unless modified by an ability or item or meepo. Armor can drive your physical resist up essentially unendingly. ~51 armor resulted in a ~70% damage reduction in a recent pro game, btw, so values of ~75% reduction seem quite feasible in-game without stretching too far.

magical damage × ( 1 + magic amplification ) × ( 1 - 0.25 natural resistance ) × ( 1 − magic resistance of item ) × ( 1 − magic resistance of first ability ) × ( 1 − magic resistance of second ability ) = actual damage

I can't quite decide because they kind of function in a similar role. I guess for pubs SB is better as it can get you pickoffs but BKB might be the better choice for the 5man and push style.

Depends on the teamcomps and how the game is going in the other lanes. It's absolutely pointless to ask should i get X item or Y item without the context of the game. Item choices don't work like that.

Straight outta Critton, crazy motha f**ka named Phantom Assassin! They "stack" but if you crit both Coup+Daedalus on the same attack, priority goes with the higher number. Therefore you may think its not working. Also stats like these are multiplicative afaik, so it increases your chance by less than you would think.

Or am I wrong on both of those. if you get dedalus on a hero already with a passive crit (like pa jugg ck etc) you can crit for two different values, if both occur on the same hit the larger one will take place.

I thought the reason to get diffusal was because you do a a lot more damage for really cheap and gives you a larger mana pool.

Viable? I mean, there might be worse items to get...but the slow is ridiculously unreliable But Diffusal is pretty much required for her - gives great dps, the slow and purge comes in hand...Not sure you can skip it to be honest. If you are trolling however, go for it.
