Is there a console command to disable voice chat (so you can't hear anybody)? If so, does it work in autoexec.cfg?

These compendium taunt items that I got are the first that I've gotten. What does it mean when it says "this is a limited use item"? Can I only use them once?

Edit: Oh I see I've put this in the strat section, my bad, hope it's ok

It's limited use because it's a chest that contains all the taunt items. You can only open it once, but when you do it'll give you the taunt items that are permanent.

More like a community question that a simple question.

Necrolite, i tend to max pulse 1st, then sadist ant hearstopper last, but i go 1-2-1-3-1-4 and then max them. So i get 1 early point in the aura, because i think its a 1hitwonder.

my questions is, I'm seeing a lot of pub necros going for max HSA (hearstopper aura from now on), then pulse, and after lvl 9 getting sadist, i mean, are those necros really bad or there's a logic behind that build?

Thanks in advance for any responses . enlightment shall be granted.

Just bad.

Whether or not you get Heartstopper depends--there are situations where you won't level Heartstopper at all until Sadist it maxed.

I encountered this situation a few games ago in an All Pick game where the following heroes were chosen and I was trying to decide who to pick:

Enemy team: Spirit Breaker, Lina, Zues, Ursa, Bloodseeker.
My team: Drow, Treant, Sniper, Phantom Assassin, ?

I figure some kind of support probably would be best, but knowing this is a low skill pub game and the three carries on my team will probably end up being pretty bad I was torn as to what hero would be the best pick. Who would you pick given this situation?

I would have picked pugna, chen or enigma. You need some way to limit zeus/lina. Don't see a lane support helping all that much due to what you would be supporting.

if its a low skill pub game, and you know your team is gonna be bad, you dont pick a support. why support bad players when youre only gonna delay the inevitable? pick a mid or another 1v5 capable hero and win.
but if you really insist on picking a support, i would have gone dazzle.

I do not get this question. What has orb walking got to do with butterfly evasion?

Orb walking does not change evasion chance, if that's your question. All it does is apply the orb effect on your autoattacks, so nothing changes.

I figured that if most of our team was carries that wouldn't be able to do much early then finding farm for myself was going to be really hard to get safely. No wards and our towers would drop real fast. That said, most of our carries spent most of the time team fighting maybe I could have snuck off to farm? Not sure.

I did really want to pick a mid like Nyx or something but Sniper and Drow were already fighting over who gets mid. :/

For situations like that I like heroes that can snowball or sort-of carry and have good disables, but aren't actually carries.
So Magnus, Sand King, Warlock, Witch Doctor, Shadow Shaman could all work. They all have some good (or at least ok) disables, good sources of damage, and the ability to really make use of items if you can find farm. So you aren't locked into a heavy support role like you would be with Kotl or something.

Heroes like Lina, Ogre Magi, and Jakiro can also work well given that with levels/items they can provide some really solid damage and good disables even with support items. Generally even bad allies are good enough to bash away at stunned & almost dead targets.

You could have just run nyx from a safe lane probably. In 2-1-2 you can just leech xp from the lane while pulling/stacking and end up with decent enough levels to be effective.

heres how to play against low skill players (in my experience and this is assuming you are DEFINITELY better than them). you will most likely outlane your opposition, irregardless of solo or 2v2. you will also have better mechanics than them (and your teammates), meaning you will take most the last hits. this means you can pretty much stomp whoever comes into your lane alone (lets say youre a hero like sf). usually low lvl carries will avoid moving to a lane someone is already in, so if youre sf and you are alone in your lane, your teammates most likely wont come, and even if they did youd out last hit them. if you really have no options you can just take the jungles too, since low lvl players never take it. so my point is, in low lvl games, it doesnt matter if your team is farm heavy, because if youre much better than them you can just outplay them

Evasion does not evade magic attacks, only physical ones. My question was maybe poorly worded, it was really 'does orb walking count as magic attacks?', I had the question since auto-attacks on heroes draw tower aggro but orb-walking does not.

Got my answer anyway

I have a question about the way the ward change works and in general how wards work now. I was under the impression that both ward stacks replenish at the same time so I have 3 questions

scenario 1 - pre 6.78
there are 4 wards at the start of the game, I buy all 4. 6 minutes later how many wards are available to be purchased

scenario 2 - post 6.78
there are 2 wards at the start of the game and I buy them, 6 minutes later how many wards are available to be purchased

scenario 3 - post 6.78
there are 2 wards at the start of the game and I do not buy them. 6 minutes later how many wards are available to be purchased.

Thanks in advance.

The shop restocks a single set of wards every six minutes and it cannot exceed two sets. The six minute restock starts when the stock is less than 2 so in 6.78 you should get your second set of wards at the 4:30 mark (1:30 pregame+4:30=6minutes).

Scenario 1- 2 wards
Scenario 2- 2 wards
Scenario 3- 4 wards

i think a support with lots of controlling-abilities would have been the way to go. Even though you have three carries, your lanes arent even that bad, so you don't really desperately need a cm, lich or one of this sort. If they lane lina+ursa they will probably get a lot kills unless they stun the wrong one, but you can't really stop them with your lineup anyways (you would need a second stun to do that). Their lineup is pretty gank-heavy, so i would have tried to go for something that can tp in and turn the tides.

I think that considering their lineup, omni-knight would have been a good pick. His ult makes Ursa, BS and SB useless and repel will save your carry from Lina and especially Zeus. Other good picks might have been Jakiro or ES. A good fissure or Icepath will make their right-click-heroes cry and both are relatively sturdy. Shadow demon is also great, disruption can save the day if you get ganked, shadow poison will disable blink on ursa, soul catcher is great in general and all three right-click-heroes would hate demonic purge.

Mediocre against their picks are imo Visage, Rubick, Skywrath or WR. Visage is good against Lina and Zeus and grave chill totally cripples Ursa, Rubik could steal rupture for a similar effect and would give the team his aura against Zeus and Lina. Skywrath would give you a slow and could silence and burst down Lina or Zeus. WR has windrun against their 3 right-click-heroes, is great with drow, power-shot will make it hard for them to push and shackle can be great. On the other hand the amount of spells Rubik could use effectively are limited to only ~4, which is horrible, Visage and Skywrath lack the stun you desperately need and shackle is hard to use if you arent used to it and WR is a bit lacking in terms of damage.
I dont really like nyx because your team is horrible for ganking and their high-value-targets have relatively high hp.

es or jakiro. drow and sniper rely on staying away from the fight, their heroes need to get close, they all do poorly against stuns, and a good fissure can stop even a bkb'd melee hero (though jakiro will have more ice paths, lane more aggressively).
