It is now possible to pick up a rune so late that you won't even see it disappear and a new one will be there. In one of the recent patches they changed it that it can't be the same rune type, it could be really confusing when you pick up a rune at 2*x:59 and it's still there and is in your bottle/the effect happened. Had it happen to me in one game 3 times in a row. I had DD in every fight for 10 minutes ![]() In a HoN tournament match, 2 players from opposing teams actually picked up the same rune. It was an invisibility (bottom rune) and radiant mid went for it at the same time as a support from dire bottom. Because of how bottling runes in that game worked (you activated your empty bottle targetting the rune), a bug let the venge pick it up as the mid laner was bottling it, so they both had it. It was kinda priceless. The fact that they both approached from opposite directions, only saw each other at the last moment, then immediately turned around added to the confusion because both were sure that THEY got it and didn't really see the other one. Sorry, I guess this is supposed to be about Dota 2 but the story seemed kinda relevant/funny. The most annoying thing is playing against pudges who get a haste rune pretty much every 2 minutes. ASDFSAASDF why can't they get illusion? XD

But if you're stubborn about picking AM, go vanguard -> manta style -> whatever.

However, If you absolutely must, just go Tranquil boots -> manta -> Luxuries (abyssal/vlads/heart/butterfly/etc). You SHOULD have mana issues with this build (if you don't you aren't blinking enough) but that is what battlefury is for. Very situationally, linkens sphere can be decent. Orchid isn't unreasonable but it is a bit overboard in terms of mana regen (you would really need an opponent that it crushes aka qop/ss before its worth it). Alternate build: Force Staff, Blink Dagger, Dagon.

You should get a vlad if you don't get Bfury to be able to jungle, and it has a mana component which should help a little bit. But really, just get a bfury

Why Vanguard first though? also - Blink Dagger on AM has a 60% winrate, Battlefury 53% the numbers have spoken Vanguard is a terrible item, but AM is desperately squishy and the physical block is better on AM since he already has good armor and huge magic resist. I don't recommend it but if you need to fight you need an item that gives you the confidence to blink in sometimes Also yeah, vlads for jungling is quite good and can be made out of the tranquils. Still not enough mana though. The conclusion remains just make Bfury (or play a different hero). Quick somebody post the video link of the AM build I was referring to.

I agree with this. Battlefury is just so strong on AM. No matter what build you want to do, it will require jungling for a long period of time, so you might as well get BF, and jungle with extreme efficiency and speed.
