But this game does bring something out of the players, maybe it's tension? I mean if I simply look at what I do myself, whom I do not consider to be braindead nor extremely bad (I mean, I have 5k hours in, and that's only dota2...). Well, sometimes, after say 4 or 5 games where I got unfortunate with my team mates (one straight feeder, one clueless carry, one support who flamed all game and refused to buy wards, insert your common pub griefer here), then I may lose my shit. And I will probably appear very braindead and bad, to the guys unfortunate enough to be playing with me, on that 6th game, where I decided that enough shit is enough, and began to feed bottles, sentries and gem mid. I'm not saying I'm feeding mid every games, I'm saying that even a regular dude can behave like a monkey if exposed to too much shit, this is a vicious circle. Tolerance levels, I guess. This is a competitive game, there is tension, maybe even stress. People are sensitive, maybe over-sensitive, probably young too which doesn't help in the mistake tolerance department, so you really need to take all that into account when you communicate. It can go to shit pretty easily. Scratch all of that nonsense. I'm on your boat. | ||

I am attending the international this year and was wondering when does the first game start for the Final weekend? I think it is 10am but I just want to make sure so I can buy my flight to Seattle accordingly. -edit- Sorry wrong thread. | ||

 Wings just lost against CDEC. (ah, how the mighty have fallen). And in the first game of that bo3, Wings (first)picked Treant. So far so expected after the patch. But I am really surprised by this build: https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3113604473 Espacially the Linkens! In my eyes the only viable "target" of this Linkens was the Lina (non-Aga)Ulti. And just for that putting A LOT of money in that item!? An Aga for Treant would be much better IMHO. Someone with more insight of this item choice? | ||

I mean, I agree it does look pretty funny but I figure they decided that linkens on a core blocking laguna was necessary. | ||

If they wanted more physical a medallion, even before blink, would have been great. I agree the item choice seems very bad. We'll probably see better choices as they get more used to it. Not a huge fan of the beastmaster + treant lane either. Treant is insane on level 1-2 when beastmaster is still kind of weak. | ||

As for linken, I don't know, they probably wanted to have linken on their QoP/TA. So one support had to buy it. So treant did (he started with perse, may he was on his way to refresher and switched?). I feel like linken serves quite a different purpose than a pipe would. Completely blocking a spell allows you to push HG safer, especially on hero with an escape mechanism (qop, morph, TA, weaver, AM...). You push untill you see linken pop, then you immediately gtfo. Pipe just mitigates, doesnt block stuns or stuff. | ||

This question is almost too simple to answer - a good timing, depending on the game, can be 24 minutes too (getting a lot of attention, heroes chasing you to make sure you don't get the Radiance etc). Getting to a Radiance between 15-20 minutes is generally always good. | ||
