I guess it comes down to "how do you get a team of scrubs to group up and push when they have a big lead" but its a nightmare guess i'll add a replay: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1703065365

1.Mijo is not right item. 2.Look at here http://yasp.co/matches/1703065365/graphs How prophet gets gold fastly, you could have stopped his split push or farm. Also look at creeps get sniper and furion, and other heroes stay at the same cs. This are things you shouldnt want to be. 3.You sould always hook sniper in fights, not any other hero. 4. You could have a better farm at this min 60. 5.Tell your team what to do. When to take rax, when to rosh; if you can guide them and know what are you saying, its mostly you will success. Enemy heros are, void sniper furion. It is already expected for your team to show early dominance; but it is obvious they have a better lategame. I didnt watched your game, but there is always a "better snowball" you can show, with right timing. Game should have finished before 30-40. So yeah, never say i played good enough and find something you can improve, that's what pro players do and they always improve.

2-4/ Yes, I know I can always farm better and stuff, but that's generic things that apply to all situations/heroes. 5/ I know that they had the better lategame etc. the problem is exactly "what can I do when the other team has the obvious better lategame and my team refuses to group up and take rax before its too late and my hero can't really take towers on its own".

Sometimes you do just lose because your team is stupid. That's dota. What you can do, though, is spend more of your gold on choking out their map control. From basically 12 minutes your team has had a substantial advantage - don't be afraid to buy the obs over your support, walk into their jungle, and place stupidly aggressive wards. Even if they don't directly get you kills, they force the enemy supports into scary positions to deward and give you opportunities to force their carries out of their own woods. Then, buy a gem and never let them see anything again. By 26 minutes you've straight up missed 3 kills on Furion because he got a shadowblade and because you just didn't buy any detection. You've also walked over a good number of enemy wards that you could've dewarded, and you've got a blademail and a force staff, and are pretty fucking hard to kill. You'd be able to protect a gem, and there's no good reason not to get one. Yes, your techies will yell at you if you die and feed it, but don't die and feed it, and your techies was awful this game anyways so whatever. By 27 minutes they've got three wards guarding their woods, they've got vision over rosh, and they're happily and safely farming their own woods again. Which is good, because they've got a ~14k net worth deficit to make up at this point, and they need that space to do it. If you'd got a gem at 21 minutes and convinced your buddy Techies to go make their woods a minefield, you'd choke out a significant portion of their farm and make more space for your Tiny to become unkillable god. Next thing to think about is getting items that support the push. Urn's awesome and underrated in pubs, lets you top back up and maintain the push, meaning you'd almost guarantee a rax in the odd bullshit that happened around 30 mins in that replay. Mek is another obvious push supporter and also would have probably meant rax at 30 mins. Necro book is more of a dire "dear god we need better push / siege" but it's still pretty damn effective, and a decent item on clock. Yeah. I think ultimately analysis was that your techies was a nonfactor and that you ended up throwing the game to bad pushes around 34 and 38 minutes, but there was definitely more stuff you could do personally and way more stuff you could have asked your team to do at various stages in the game to promote victory.

Play limited heroes mode is my only suggestion.

I see it as very all-in since venge carry farms very slowly, has low range, and doesn't scale well into the lategame, unless you have another big physical damage dealer to pick up the slack.
