Well, you have Dendi as the perfect example of that, his hero pool is not small at all (hi mid Rubick) and you can see him over the past year how hard it was on him, he actually never recovered, but again, Miracle may adapt when Dendi couldn't.
Dendi is just past his peak. He went to three TI finals.
So? You mean my comparison is not valid or that he is just too old to be used as an example?
It not about the time span, it is about the place they occupy/ied.

I don't think anyone ever talked about a time of Dota being "Dendis patch" so I don't get your point.
People talked a lot about how he doesn't fit the meta anymore, given the meta changes with patches, I can see a connection there.

Dendi is not even close to being the perfect exemple. Dendi likes/is somewhat good on playmaking heroes, like puck, rubick, etc. You never saw him play position 1 and if you ever see, you'll realize he is bad doing it. I remember a recent game he was playing PL(still position 2) and he won mid. Mid game he was just fucking lost. He kept running around the map without doing shit and eventually he was far behind the others team mid/carry
Meanwhile, miracle already proven he can play both playmaking mids (rubick mid) and position 1 (hi miracle AM carrying the team in the first matches because notail was fucking shit)
I sincerely hope that this victory will and can be continuous. I hope OG can ride this momentum and always do well in other tournaments. Even though my supportive words might seems like a lie, since you can clearly see what is my favorite team, actually I think that OG is definitely very good. And I actually root for them in the LB, especially in LB Finals.
OG is not lucky, at all. They fought through the lower bracket (like what MVP.Phoenix did in TI5, but better), and reach the throne, by beating not just one, but TWO favorites of the tournament. They are clearly worthy of the title. Congrats, OG. GG!
good shit. first round losers to winning the whole thing is amazing. it's worth it rewatch or recap the entire run from start to finish, because all it took was one bo1 slip-up from earlier matches to bo1 situations against strong teams. yet they didn't falter there either.
t's a combination of so much luck and making it your own and a great quas wex invoker!

Dude, in the sense that he was left out of the game because of several patch changes, do you even read?
The comparison is not between positions but standing out as a player and then falling off... Please give your post some more thought.

Dendi was left out of the game because he can't farm efficiently like the other mid players of this meta can. When the mid meta was to run around the map making plays he was good. Miracle already shown he can do both of this things.
I have been a fan of notail and moon meanders for awhile now. Where I am glad to see they are having success for some reason I feel Miracle seems kind of a like a douche.

One interesting stat I read was the number of official matches that OG has played. It was something like 130 matches compared to Secret's 60ish. Going into the major, one of the things that always impressed me was OG's coordination in team fights and teamwork in general.
Think all those matches were a big help for them? I think it did.

Considering how Vega won ESL One as well, I'd say, at the very least, that other teams are going to skip a lot less tournaments in the upcoming season. Patch experience is obviously worth more than they think.
