Save strats and then notice that it gets run overed by some other strat later on in playoffs.
Now for teams to be successful you need a minimum of 2 proven strats.
Then you need a strong Tony combo,a Meepo player, both QW and WE Invoker, at least 2 Tusk players, and a really good Dazzle.
Funny thing is that's OG. GGWP Puppey just couldn't outdraft them with his first pick Slardar.

For Secret playing more tournaments than they did isn't really viable. They spent the entire October traveling to 3 different LANs. The downside of being invited to tournaments is that you don't get to play any online games to acquire experience as a team. But you can only play so many tournaments if you qualify / get invited into the LAN finals. You simply don't have time to play the qualifiers or you put yourself into a spot where you are playing games straight from the plane almost with no days to rest. EG played even less due to them skipping NYC.
OG on the other hand didn't play ESL quals because I believe Fly was still on vacation then or something. They didn't qualify for Nanyang or WCA, so obviously their schedule was freed up for October apart from MLG, and they also knew that they were not going to China in December, so it was easier for them to sign up for tournaments that have LANs soon like DL or Defense.

They had an incredible performance against incredible odds and beyond anyones expectations- and at best now those expectations rise, but is anyone "disappointed" by Team Secret or EG even though everyone counted them as the favorites? All this shows is that the top teams are really close together and OG is one of them. No need to preventively naysay. Well, you have Dendi as the perfect example of that, his hero pool is not small at all (hi mid Rubick) and you can see him over the past year how hard it was on him, he actually never recovered, but again, Miracle may adapt when Dendi couldn't. Dendi is not even close to being the perfect exemple. Dendi likes/is somewhat good on playmaking heroes, like puck, rubick, etc. You never saw him play position 1 and if you ever see, you'll realize he is bad doing it. I remember a recent game he was playing PL(still position 2) and he won mid. Mid game he was just fucking lost. He kept running around the map without doing shit and eventually he was far behind the others team mid/carry Meanwhile, miracle already proven he can play both playmaking mids (rubick mid) and position 1 (hi miracle AM carrying the team in the first matches because notail was fucking shit) Dude, in the sense that he was left out of the game because of several patch changes, do you even read? The comparison is not between positions but standing out as a player and then falling off... Please give your post some more thought. Dendi was left out of the game because he can't farm efficiently like the other mid players of this meta can. When the mid meta was to run around the map making plays he was good. Miracle already shown he can do both of this things. And you just assume, that meta will stay within borders of 2 those things? I'm quite sure meta could move in another direction.

how DARE he belittle our team Yeah, I couldn't stop laughing. It was honestly unintentional satire or something - "How dare he say that secret is worse than OG, secret only lost a bo5 to them, not like FIVE bo5s that you need to really be sure"

Don't really see the drama behind it. They almost lost to both those teams, whereas the Secret matches probably felt more one-sided to him.

Icic. See nothing wrong with his opinions. Ah Cr1t my boy. Real happy to see him successful. Supported him since danish mouz days. Always said alliance should have picked him up when they were trying out players.
My main concern with og is whether they can sustain their performances, because my analysis is that they have been heavily reliant on draft advantage rather than outplays. Good thing is that they ain't as one dimensional as cdec and alliance 2013, so it would take a while before they get figured.

Any draft can look like the stronger one when the players just play the drafts better than anyone else.

Another thing people harped on was him saying something like Secret being in the finals because they had an easy road. Of course their group wasn't the toughest and they got Mineski first round because they upset EHOME in groups, but after that they beat VG and EG so the finals spot was hardly undeserved.
In general though it's always the same thing when players give their opinions. People are all up in arms if they don't show fake humility or whatever and say "they are a great team I respect them a lot" about everyone. This cr1t thing was hardly an exception. I'm sure the comments will be a source of many memes in the future if OG were to lose to Secret.

Saying that secret had an easy road when they beat VG and EG to reach the finals is really quite unreasonable. It shows still how immature the scene (or just him) is.

That it sparks a big outrage that some pro sais something like this does only Show one Thing:
How mindnumblingly dumb many dota fans are.
|
This confirms how young most of the DOTA2 fans are. I will never get any of the players opinions as a trash talk or get frustrated if any player talks about my favorite team and/or player, hell even after sumail dominated for 15 games in DAC and proclaimed himself the best mid of all time I was like "sure thing good luck to ya in future". That is the main reason I stopped watching Football fans are too blind with the assumptions and never understand at the end of the day this is ONE PERSON'S opinion no matter that he is Pro or not.
|
Well in a way it is really no different than a random forum post. If someone says something silly or something that someone feels is incorrect he may get a response. If cr1t says something in public he can also get a response.
It's mostly just the people who talk as if this or that sentence reveals a player's character and who start to attack the person rather than just talking about the topic at hand that go over the top. Of course fans are free to use whatever criteria they want to decide whether they like a player or not, but it doesn't mean they should start harassing the player because he said something they don't agree with.

Miracle looks kinda geekish and introverted. Was a surprised to see him sporting a tattoo on his right arm!

For one thing he didn't say Secret was in the finals because their road was easy. He said he thought their road was "pretty easy" which, when compared to all other semi finalists (and especially to his own team) it arguably was. And when you look at the different series you can see how he comes to his other conclusions; OG certainly had a lot more difficulties against EHOME and EG than against Secret. People are just trying to stir up needless drama (surprise). I like how Envy handled it when confronted with this (non-)issue.
Also I would like to remind you of Puppeys own words before the final: "we definitely make more mistakes right now than in any other tournament we've played...".
