Not gonna say outdrafted. Especially not in game two. But alliance cudnt execute their draft. LGD on the other hand could perform even tho they arguably had the worse draft in game two.
Lgd is Alot stronger as a team and as individual players atm it seems.

ok, today was really unexpected... we clearly have some kind of psychological problem in LANs, they boys can't handle the pressures and high expectations .
We still qualified for TI? Hope we can show something better there ...

I honestly think that they are just late to the meta, like all the other upper bracket seeds. The average level has risen a lot this year imo, so being behind in the draft, less practiced and likely more nervous is really a recipe for disaster.
IIRC Alliance needed to win a series to be safely qualified to TI. With the upper bracket seeds dropping like flies I have no idea where that leaves Alliance. Probably in the open qualifier with Liquid, OG and possibly Nigma. IIRC Secret was already qualified.

They seem to be through to TI. Only ones that can get them out are nigma, spirit and TNC. And they need to get top 3 all of them with TNC winning it all. And that's not possible since TNC and spirit are both in LB. Which means at best it can be TNC winning, which makes spirit placed 4th. And 4th is not enough for spirit to reach 800 points. Which is required to beat alliance.
So they are through according to liquipedia. And it seems correct afaik.
But I feel they could benefit from going through qualifier, tho gotta say I'm glad they are not going to have to, since OG and liquid will be there.

Feels rather clear that starting in upper bravket is not a good thing for anyone.

Alliance is not that bad, they have their own meta, such as tanky hero strategy(DK, Centur, Timber...), they are very strong in their own meta but their hero pool is very limited. when their strategy getting figoured out, they are back to average... in their last 5 games, DK and Timber was first banned 4 games in a row, then they got out drafted and out played, they lost their confidency as well... I really think they need work harder to widen their hero pool, and please stop picking slark as carry, that hero is just useless.

by the way, i really think Team Liquid can make their way to TI. Og is not that strong without Jerax and god-mode Ana.

I agree. It makes them very predictable and easy to counter pick =/

yes, but series against VP was kinda depressing ... we lack something at highest levels...

Yeah vpgames was a complete smash.
Kinda felt they were lucky as well as persistent and good game 2. Not much would have tilted that into a win for VP and it could have been 2-0.

Great with wins. Wud love for them to be more creative with their drafts. Think that's what I take away from the major.

I'm kinda worried for TI because we won't have many EU teams to face there , when was the last time we won against a SEA/CHINA/NA team?

Im very happy they tried something new(hoodwink, magnus, tb, ck...), top3 is not bad at all, they will 100% do better in TI.
