The games between these teams are usually really good, and the rivalry will just get better if EG can win once in a while ![]() EG is the team with the strongest mindset. They know the game.

They prioritize gettin farm on their 3 cores so much that Cr1t, but especially Zai for a position 4 both allways been completly underfarmed - like they have to play a double pos. 5. Both Cr1t and Zai are amazing players and while it is somewhat required that cr1t as captain follows PPD footsteps and becomes the hard 5 - i dont think this current playstyle is something a player like Zai feels satisfied with (even IF they would win with it) and it honestly feels like a waste of what this player can achieve.

This is actually incredibly brutal for EG They have first Wings, then VP, then OG at their side of the bracket...in a single elimination! So much for the groups not mattering at all. Grandfinals will have the easiest opponent for them paradoxically, if they manage to win this they will be the undisputed kings of Dota and then some

If they've done better in the groups they would be agains WG.U instead of the fucking TI6 champions. Imo the groups matter a LOT. (4 groups is shit tho)

EG historically is bad against teams who like to run at you and fight all the time, even under PPD (think against MVP). I feel like EG has no answer for when their double dual lanes go bad, because coL really liked to run a defensive tri lane against an EG dual lane and would come out ahead. EG needed to adapt better than that.

EG needed to adapt better than that. Complexity wasn't terribly behind in game 2, set 2 coming out of the laning stage & won the laning stage in game 3, set 2. Otherwise, EG won the laning stage in 4 of 6 games. And the probably won hardest in the two games they lost in the first set. Except for game 3, set 2, EG pretty much just tried to keep attacking into Complexity with very limited vision. The Vision Game being really, really bad for EG is a worry. They've got no chance against the Title Contenders with their vision game so bad.

Also it seemed to me they took Universe's farm priority and gave it to Zai, but that may have been because he was a Slar and CW.

Love the aggressive movement into the jungle to catch VP off-guard ![]() PS: How could none of the commentators nor the panel see that EG actually had a ward on the secret shop that could spot the Rapier purchase? The BM purchase is still fantastic and game winning, but he had intel on the Rapier ![]()
