why does it have to be a smurf? could easily just be someone who is around 3500 mmr unranked who is starting to play ranked for the first time

Most games my team is within 100-200 (tops) mmr of each other so the difference is really quite negligible, not to mention that high MMR=/=good leadership, or even good play. as has been mentioned many times, it's for the players at the upper end of the rating curve where matchmaking is rarely all 10 players at around the same rating

TBD's in my games are either super bad lowest mmr(or reverse=smurf) of the stack or noticeably better than the average(smurf of some sort).

Guy's sub 5k and says, "Lemme mid. You guys are lucky. Free win. I boost accounts for money. I'm boosting this guy's account to 5.1k mmr for $400 usd". such nonsense

And that it may be a good idea to let one of the better players be the support rather than the scrub that will feed and keep the map dark? Right, but in a pub, if you let the better player play the support, then instead of a feeding support, you'll just have a feeding carry :D

And the pricks that say stuff like i'm boosting and i have a 6K main account, would have done with without the mmr shown, so it makes no difference

i'm marked as 5.3k average 4.8 I say "I can play wherever "offlane, carry, jungle and mid all marked and taken.....lol In the past when losing this game due to terrible performances from cores I wouldnt have minded, but it pissed me off knowing the mmrs before hand. For someone who doesnt like marking core positions early it's not good for me.

I generally play support or offlane so it makes planning rotations a lot easier, especially when I know my mid or safe lane is a good player and will use the space properly

End of game, VS is 3.7k. Cue the "3.7! SCRUB SCRUB SCRUB"

Ends up taking SF mid and ends up laning against a troll. He gets crushed. 0-4 at 8 minutes. He starts flaming everyone on the team. Literally everyone. Calls us scrubs, idiots, whatever. Made a bunch of questionable calls too. Was particularly hard on our VS support. End of game, VS is 3.7k. Cue the "3.7! SCRUB SCRUB SCRUB" Surely you've had this experience before the patch.

If he doesn't crush it just gives everyone yet another reason to flame him. Even if he does okay and the rest of the team feeds or whatever, it's still omg why didn't you carry us. And vice versa for omg you guys so bad. I still think it's a good change but it does make teamwork a bit too focused on one dude, especially if the difference isn't all that large.

There's a mute button and also, as somebody noticed, nobody seems to care all that much. Like yeah, games are harder, boo hoo. If people had their own brains, games would be hard in 2013 already, but instead, they had to have bright red markers pointing them towards their goals in a team-based game. Flamers are everywhere, stoners are everywhere, people who just don't try really hard are everywhere, you just got to accept this and move on.
