i dont think he set himself up enough during the early/mid game to make that believable.

I'm not sure how believable that would be. But he needed to go a bit more yolo. Be more agressive against someone, not half ass against everyone, try to force a lynch where he doesn't vote on town or something. Mafia shouldn't win after Durka went ham.

with Tobi as town it's always possible to throw.

I swear he protects mafia and lynchs town every single game he plays. He just accepts crazy conspiracy theories too easy. Going for Sujoy was insane, he was the towniest town possible. At least he could show that to everyone.

yeah, but he ended up accusing maq, sujoy and shane. Tobi was confirmed town. If he tried to protect Sujoy and jump on Shane and Maq maybe they could pull something out of nothing.
