Their old Sc2 team had a nice mix of this. Taeja/Hero TLO/Ret/Nony That's what made TL cool. All TL is now are random mediocre teams in random games with no real emotional connection to the TL community at large. I understand that given the direction they've decided to go they can't be so 'intimate' with the community but they've definitely lost a lot of the grass roots community feel in lieu of more overall exposure and 'esports' market share. TL isn't objectively better or worse as a result of these decisions, it all depends on your individual perspective and the goals of the owners. I feel it's worse, but that doesn't mean much. I view TL today as a lesser version of GGA. I used to view TL as a community based pro gaming team that had the unique advantage of leveraging a rather large forum community to rally behind them and cheer them on against the money hungry esports $ell0uT b o Y z. Now with the lack of community features that made TL so cool before, TL is more or less indistinguishable from any other presented by 'insert sponsors here' team. | ||

I'm not against people being upset and flaming Liquid for not having a Dota team, because in some ways I'm also a bit disappointed we don't have one as well, but I also know Nazgul hasn't stopped trying in any way since TI4. Unfortunately he's been close quite a few times but nothing has worked out yet. | ||
