I literally have zero game with ladies. I lucked out that my wife has weird fetish for long hair dudes and we were in class together. The only success I have with women (over my life) has been when I work or had classes with them and I could use subtle manipulation over X period of time until they realize they are in love with me. I can't just pick up a girl on a whim for shit.

Yes and yes. They are both good. Witcher 2 sort has a less impressive 3rd act, but is a good game.

Or skip them. My PS4 version doesn't unlock until tomorrow.

I hated Witcher 2 and only played it for like 2 hours. It just felt clunky and the combat sucked ass. I had just come off of playing Dark Souls so that probably wasn't very fair for Witcher. I'm excited to try Witcher 3 though because it seems they've made a lot of improvements and some major shifts in the world/gameplay/combat.

they are connected but that doesnt necessarily mean you should trudge through games that are somewhat dated
you wont miss out on too much by jumping into 3

The intro to witcher 2 is hot garbage and should be a clinic for all game designers on what not to do. You can't even fucking block or counter and you need to learn it. The game tells you shit and throws you right into some pretty hard combat. The patch fixed that a bit, but its still non-sense.

Its a great game, but not without flaws. There are lots of parts of the witcher I would changed. But they are great RPGs and one of my favorite games series for the lack of good and evil.

Edit: there is some plot from the books that carry through and should be wrapped up in this game. The Wild Hunt is some spirit shit that is hunting something from your characters past. Its vague and should be plot dropped in the first hour of the game.

I'm sure the witcher 3 will have a nice intro to get first time players caught up with major plot themes. At worst you might miss out on some subtle references here and there and some minor character development.
