What were the main reasons for your losses? Big pots? Mostly just losing the blinds? Have you had a win streak and were in the positive for a while? Was it a tournament, a recurring group of players or random tables?

One tourney, I managed to luck my way into 12th out of 180 people and thought that I was a lot better than I was, so I played like five more tournaments in the span of five days and busted in stupid ways, mostly chasing draws, and then my last hand having my pocket aces cracked by pocket sixes. I also didn't play anywhere near as aggressive as I could have in the earlier levels. There was a brief time I was ahead after running it up playing cash games with people I didn't know that well, but I lost that pretty quickly in the tourneys

but to be honest, whats the point of direct seed? all the direct seed teams have been super low level, and thats because the time it happens between matches its way too long, scrims only take you so long. with the many patches, most teams that came from the wildcard / group stage managed to develop an strategy and read the patch much better it seems. Its just valve being dumb and making that the only tournament that matters its TI, so as long as you make it, there's like no incentive, even economically speaking. The game is gonna change before TI10, so being a good team now, might not be the same when the time comes, especially if you dont practice in real tournaments (like in group stages where you get a lot of matches to found out). Thats why i liked CSGO leagues so much, it keeps you on your toes all the time. Its barely done in CSGO, its not done in real sports, why does dota 2 tournaments think they need to change something that its established and works.

and scrims for the most part are just as useful as matches that count this idea that they're getting the short end of the stick because they aren't playing matches that count is really silly tbqh
