Decided to check out a few reviews and this was the opinion of the manga at least. So it is a hentai they are making? its more of a teenager-level revenge fantasy-fantasy story with some erotic elements slapped in there. honestly dunno why its getting an anime but i dunno how popular it is in japan.
if its popular id be disappointed in japan

Diabotical ran really well and was quite fun but my old doomer hands and having never played arena fps were limiting the amount of rekting achievable. Epic launcher ran fine, idk what the issue with that is.
The manga is not a hentai but it's a hilarious take on isekai power tripping. If some otaku neckbeard suddenly had godlike powers, genderswapping people just to have them be gang raped sounds way more plausible than whatever they do in all those vanilla mangas. It kinda overstays its welcome, there's only so many ways you can depict rape and gore (without even showing anything) and a demented looking MC.
It's in such bad taste that the author must be self-aware and is also just spoofing the most basic and actually creepy isekai trope where MC gets himself a (beastman) slave(s) and fucks it every 3 chapters or so (,or keeps getting cockblocked or is a cuck if it's targeted at preteens - I say cuck but I believe the Japanese term is vegetarian, sorry to all the cucks). I suppose good 80% of isekai manga is like that, it really is the saddest genre/trope of anything ever. Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo has whole chapters about the guy fucking his slave, all censored ofc. That has Harem in the name but I don't know if it ever even got to that point because something would've had to happen plotwise.
There's like 3 serious isekai works that are dece. And like 10 others that are good spoofs of all the stupid shit. But even then I think you could argue for splitting the "entering game world" types from "claimed by truck-kun" and I'm suddenly not sure if there's anything good in the latter genre. I think the necessity of violent death without having to go back as a trope as opposed to the stuck in a gameworld with no means to go back offers interesting insight into the target demographic.
My hypothesis before the study was that isekai is some of the worst shit to ever be published and after about 100-150 isekai manga I believe I can confirm this. So if you are wondering why such a sick work is getting an anime adaptation, the answer is: the rest are worse.
e. actually the manga might not even be strictly isekai itself but there's the rebirth element, it's a little bit less common fantasy trope but very similar to isekai

Why did you put yourself through more than 10-15 isekai manga?
|
I've gone the novel route for Isekais, mostly since tons of litrpg fall into that genre when you ignore all of VR. Been some decentish free stuff published online recently for that. Things like Azarinth Healer Delve He Who Fights With Monsters Metaworld Chronicles Heck even The Wandering Inn is pretty good, though I think it suffers from too many view points. The same issue Wheel of Time hit where you can go 600 pages without reading about your favourite character or having much happen in their plot arc. The author publishes ~20k words a week most of the time which makes it even harder to keep up with long term. Gilded hero was a nice surprise here as well, though the publishing speed is dismal for that. Mother of Learning kind of fits into the genre and is generally liked.
Think the other big block similar to this is the post-apocalyptic genre. Tons of decent to good stuff there since it many times introduces a high tech or magic reason that a "normal" person gets to explore and power up in.

I was inspired by that scene in Stand and Deliver where he goes "how do I reach these kids" and thought it would be a good idea to know a bit more but nah just slap a ban on all mangos and chinese cartoons. And in my defense most of those had 5 or so chapters.
others have done the research too
e. I started reading Brandon Sanderson and will try to reread WoT which is tough when my city library has like one copy of each book that's in English, I should probably get a kindle or something like that. I only read it to the really slow and shitty books but the series was still incomplete then. My brother read all the witcher books on his phone idk how he did that and not going to try.
Mistborn is pretty good, Elantris was kinda yikers, I left it halfway, might still finish tho. Overall I like his world building but the dialogue and characters are just a bit annoying at times. Maybe it gets better. Doesn't quite live up to the hype to me but not a complete letdown like Jim Butcher.

I hate how repetitive Brandon Sanderson is in his writing, I feel like he explained in great detail the same things over and over and over, especially if you read multiple of the mistborn books back to back

I recently purchased the Mistborn books so I guess I'll see if his own work is different.

hi mr.mike from the monster group inc. sir
do u need an adult to save ur mmr yet i haven't played since my dota2 uninstalled mid-game
Sanderson certainly feels a bit over-descriptive. But if you watch his course on creative writing on youtube he is pretty unapologetic about his boner for his own magic systems. The way he goes about writing his stories is pretty formulaic but idk if I haven't read enough yet or he is just smart about inching the story forwards. Also he goes hard on inventing terms and new words he then repeats ad infinitum. it's a bit OCD. But maybe going to this from Sapkowski accentuates that. (40 pages of dialogue and then Geralt casts a Quen sign, aight wtf is a Quen and wtf is a sign but sure) + Show Spoiler +i know because I played the game but still

His Mistborn books are abit rougher than most of his new stuff or his short stories

I've really enjoyed every sanderson book i've read but I'll admit to freely skimming the occasional page where I can feel nothing happening.
The author that i'm most impressed with right now is Neal Stephenson

The public health institute recommends “washing hands with soap and water whenever possible because handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands.”
Edit: soap, I meant soap, not Spaß

"Cryptonomicon" is a pretty good boook by Neal Stephenson I’ve only read “reamde” and I’d say it was quite enjoyable. Might have to check out Cryptomomicon.
I’m gonna start Mistborn this week hopefully. Actually doing a Wheel of Time reread right now, which I’m almost done with. I know people have mixed opinions but it’s my favourite series of all time.
