Honestly... it's not a great game. I want to know how the saga ends, but I have Trails to Azure and Zero to finish before I event think about buying Trails of Cold Steel 3, and then wait a few years for Trails of Cold Steel 4. Moderately okay to move onto other things in the meantime though! Now I can blitz through more of my hideous backlog! Honestly I feel the biggest weight off my shoulders now. | ||

Cold Steel 1 has what I might think to be the worst changes in tone of any video game I've played. I'm done the plot of Cold Steel 2 but I'm not sure if I want to beat the combat-only epilogue. I beat the crossover with Trails to Azure/Zero though. It was pretty shallow and pretty bad.  Can't wait to play Crossbell Kiseki but that might take a while hahaha. Right now I don't really feel like playing games, but it's good to get this done. I think more Hyperdimension Neptunia games might be in order actually. Might also watch some anime for the first time in over a year. | ||

It's got a spoiler to them so it's pretty good to skip it, though the quality jump is pretty massive. Something about the Cold Steel cast is just a little... stiff. | ||

I liked everyone in Trails in the Sky, even the smoking reporter and airhead foodie hahaha. Cold Steel though... man. Where do I even begin? I guess... take a list of pretty generic anime tropes. Give very few of them any personality or character developments. Set it in a generic anime high school. And bam, instant Trails of Cold Steel characters. My favorite characters were probably Claire or Sara and they're pretty generic, all things considered. | ||

Also best girl in Trails of Cold Steel 2 is Alfin followed by Towa I think. Claire and Sara don't get enough personality or character development to really be best girl™. Theoretically both of them have character arcs but they're insanely shallow. At least Alfin was hilarious the whole time. | ||

The community in that game have stockholm syndrome, like it's somehow not about who gambles a better team for themselves. The idea of FIFA eSpOrTs is about as smart as holding the world cup in the Middle East or punishing a team for one asshole in a crowd of 50 000. | ||
