A solution is not far off, give it a few weeks and it's done, that's my bet.

Actually doing a Wheel of Time reread right now, which I’m almost done with. I know people have mixed opinions but it’s my favourite series of all time. Btw Mistborn is his first trilogy so while the entire thing is worth it. It is also his worst quality series considrering how much improvement Stormlight Archives and his Wheel of Time takeover looked

I've reread WoT more times than I'd like to admit. Most of the critiques of it are valid but it's still near and dear to my heart. As others have said, mistborn is an excellent series overall but also one of Sanderson's first and as such much less polished and prone to some foibles that he's improved upon in due course. For Neal Stephenson, I can also recommend seveneves if you enjoy near-future sci-fi.

For Neal Stephenson, I can also recommend seveneves if you enjoy near-future sci-fi. For me it's partly because I got into WoT in elementary school so some of it might be nostalgia. Although nostalgia aside some of the most epic moments I've ever read without a doubt have been in WoT, specifically in the first six books. Dumai's wells still gives me chills. The Aiel flashback in book four is also just insanely well written. TBH WoT is probably the best reread I've ever done. It almost feels like Jordan writes with that in mind, because there's so many little things you can almost only pick up on a reread (like Rand channeling throughout the first book). I'll put some more Stephenson stuff on my list, although I'm gonna finish with the Sanderson stuff first. edit: speaking of WoT have any of the WoT fans here been following the development of the tv show? Cast has mostly been announced at this point and they have been filming. Kind of insane that they got Rosamund Pike to play Moraine.

WoT should not be that hard to adapt at the first book. Tho i am curious how they will handle Rand's descend to madness and the dreamscapes of the cast edit: Not gonna lie WoT is kinda my favorite fantasy longseries (more than i like Malazan and Codex Alera)

Ah that is a bigger problem indeed (channeling is weird and required alot of CG but i was thinking more about the "deadman voice" that whispers alot of Rand mid conversation The author helping out (even just the takeover author) is really big for tv adaptations
