I just genuinely want the mini plushies (or whatever merchandise that is not too costly) or something like a tshirt (to go out as a subtle dota fan cough) so i didnt even bother to ask any mate to buy me anything in US since the europe shop will open for us soon enough.
Goddamn have been wanting one of those plushies since ti2

So like SC2, we have two "balance" threads leading the forms after a large event because fan favorites didn't win the finals.
Folks we are that much closer to "ded geam"

Let me constructively complain about MMR system a bit.
At slightly above 4.3k MMR I've been noticing that the skill difference between players with more or less the same rating is often way to big. I've looked over different people's profiles on dotabuff and I've realized that there are often 3 types of people in my matches. Firstly there are people with about 53% win ratio and over 3000 games played. Their skill is stable and they usually don't stand out in a good or bad way. And than there are players who have less than 500 games played with over 60% win ratio, who are when you check their latest matches normally on a winning streaks and who perform outstandingly and then there are often players with under 150 matches played who somehow got 4.3k MMR and now they got around 40% win ratio and in latest matches you can see they lost almost all of them.
That leads me to conclusion, that players with small amount of matches played are often misplaced in a wrong '''mmr group''. I'm not saying that the current system is bad and it should be changed at all cost, but I think it could be improved if players with little number of games played and players on winning/losing streaks would change mmr faster. I know that first dozens matches your mmr changes rapidly, but with huge mmr deflation, bad punishing system for game ruiners and abandoners I don't think it's enough to place you at a proper MMR rating.

there is, it's called smurf detection

5 stars because dota is played with 5 player teams?

After you acquire your MMR, solo point win/loss doesn't change(24-26) depending on your streak like other games with ladder.

/discuss? 4.5k mmr, 150 matches played, 40% winrate smells like 3k player who bought a 5k account from an MMR boosting website. I have no doubt that it happens, but I don't think it's really all that common.
And people retarded saying that the 'meta' or the balance is bad. Finals sucked ass, VG couldn't deal with the pressure and just kept drafting the same shit they got stomped with in the previous game. They also GG'd too early, there's no way you should call gg before any of your rax die if you have Prophet + a lategame carry. If Na'Vi lost TI3 finals the same way they lost game 1, then the finals would've looked even worse.

The only comment I can agree with in the "meta" threads is the guy who said "Stop trying to make carry Venomancer happen."

How do you guys smurf MMR? I've been playing DotA for years now and I'm at level 11 (no ranked games yet). Granted I play like one game a week.
