Yes we can. Going to reddit it like that has only one purpose, to whip up a lynch mob to get what you want. No other reason to release that bullshit statement.

I mean everybody wanted a statement as to what was going on. Fnatic's statement wasn't really the best but everybody wanted info.

Also holy shit how stupid is fnatic leadership. They tried to sick a lynch mob on valve, knowing that valve had all of that ready to counter punch with? It also seems that fnatic leadership did this because they take a cut of the prize money, which the good organizations like liquid or eg do not. Fucking retarded and slimy on their part, hope this means reddit stops felating them. Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure. When ex-NAR got their offer from EG, it had EG taking a cut out of the teams tournament winnings in the deal.

Fnatic the players at least would fucking love to be their normal 5 and have the last month have been bootcamp practice and know that era wont have a mental breakdown in seattle. This isn't some elaborate plan to ditch era lol.

Well given that they excluded a ton of very relevant things in that statement, such as that they had kicked him despite the fact that he was cleared to play, I'm pretty certain that statement was purely intended to whip up a lynch mob, and you have some weird ass ideas about how the world works if you don't realize that. And why do you think nar choose navi? Because eg offered them a deal with only a cut of the prizepool as a one tourney deal, rather than the sponsorship they give their main team. Liquid doesn't take a cut, EG doesn't take a cut from their main team, Navi doesn't take a cut, alliance doesn't take a cut. I can't think of a single western sponsor who takes a cut of players winnings that is held as one of the top organizations to play for. Sponsors who do that tend to get their teams or players poached by the teams I just mentioned. Era was fine for most of the summer, fnatic had just kicked him because they thought that excalibur gave them a better shot at winning based on talent.

They excluded ONE thing: Era originally emailed va,lve and asked to play. Show me copies of contracts indicating that EG/TL/Na'Vi don't take a cut from prizes won. Or really any proof. Era was FUCKING NOT FINE. He ditched them for D2L finals, "Came back" for dreamhack bucharest, then ditched them for The summit (beginning of june). How is puking every day and flying home sick less than 6 weeks before the most important tournament starts (as well as missing multiple other very important tournaments) "Fine"? he only said he was fine because he'd kill to play in TI, like any pro. Sure maybe he was recovering but even then its too late you can't just miss all the prep for TI and be "fine" you've already fucked your team. THERES 0 CHANCE IN HELL A TEAM DUMPS A PLAYER 4 DAYS BEFORE A TOURNAMENT ON SKILL GROUNDS.

Excluding one thing which is the entire reasoning for the others argument is much more important than 100 small things.
It's like "yeah I slept with this girl and I haven't called her, she's really angry about it, I don't know why". Turns out she got pregnant and has been raising a child on her own for 3 years. I'm only excluding 1 thing.
And Fnatic says a lot of things in that statement which just aren't true or are completely out of context. It would have to take someone with very poor reading comprehension to read both things and think that it's all above board except that one missing bit.
|
I mean regardless of what you think or which side of the debate you're on, that was a pretty important fact to deliberately exclude wasn't?
|
And fnatic sat down, worked it out, and era agreed that they should play with excalibur. So from their perspective that was a moot point.
I aint saying their article was good, I agreed with teapot way back when it was leaving something out clearly. But from fnatic's perspective they got permission and now it is "oh too late we said era decides but now we decide"
