guy blames valve/if's strict adherence to dota1 mechanics as dota2's biggest weakness, and goes on to say it's 'well balanced', 'overly simple', and 'overly complex' all in one sentence. then at the end as a conclusion he says that dota2 is 'mechanically unrefined'. site is worse than yt

I like how every email is also sent to IceFrog, but he doesn't have a single reply there. Valve right Fnatic wrong It's a pretty obvious separation in that Valve distinguished that EG followed the deadline regarding player swaps way before invites and 2. there has been two lines of communication from parties within Fnatic that conflicted with what they wanted to do. Valve stuck to their gun: 1. Invite the players, not a team brand and 2. Stuck to their deadline notice regarding player swaps.

I didn't expect it to be Era's side though.

But we've known for a very long time that Valve really don't care about the organisation and invite players. To the point where they even pay directly to players and not the organisation. (which dates back to TI1 artstyle drama) I fucking love this though: From: Patrik Sättermon [mailto:<removed>] Get told.Sent: Friday, June 13, 2014 12:42 PM To: Erik Johnson Cc: Danijel Remus; Sahil Deva; Anne Mathews; Icefrog Subject: Re: Fnatic Dota 2 - Concern Dear Erik, I was meant to reach out to you guys today as I just got back to our headquarters here in London after an extended business trip in Asia. I strongly believe that the fastest and smoothest way forward is to schedule a Skype call where we can discuss this matter. I do have Dreamhack Summer coming up for me starting tomorrow, but as this matter is urgent, I'm very happy to be flexible around your hours. Please let me know when is good for you and we take it from there. My Skype details are to be found in the details below. Best regards, Patrik Sättermon From: Erik Johnson Sent: Friday, June 13, 2014 12:44 PM To: Patrik Sättermon Cc: Danijel Remus; Sahil Deva; Anne Mathews; Icefrog Subject: RE: Fnatic Dota 2 - Concern I’d prefer e-mail. I hate when people want to skype for business for no apparent reason unless it's a group conference or some shit. Need records of what's said and time to think.

Could easily be construed as fnatic trying to fuck over era. not that I think thats not an oversimplification but im sure some people will see it that way.
