Did Tobi just say that Valve are planning to set it up so people can host their own Dota2 servers? That is genius.

I think he was generally trying to get Enchantress first but Shadow Demon's disruption would force him to switch targets. The thing is, if he doesn't focus down Spectre then Spectre is going to deal a ton of damage. Spectre went vanguard, radiance, then diffusal so he had a lot of damage and only ~1500hp for the majority of the game. Morphling was trying to focus him down during the chain stuns of Beastmaster, Earthshaker, and Crystal Maiden so that they could then roll the fight but mTw played really well. it's 22% of damage taken in a 1000AOE (closer more, further less) basically anyone in the immediate fight. Morphling was hitting like a truck so ~22% of morphlings damage not only hitting himself (his auto attack is 350 which is very close to the max 22% range) but all of his team is extremely significant. I'm not sure why you're calculating spectre's HP for the damage. ...because spectre can only disperse so much damage, i.e. a percentage of her max hp? rofl I even checked playdota cause I couldn't remember full dispersion mechanics, they never mentioned it. Notes • Damage type: pure • Reflected damage is not felt by Spectre, effectively reducing the incoming damage. • Illusions will not benefit from this ability. • Full damage is dealt in a 300 AoE around Spectre. • The damage dealt decreases linearly from a 300 distance to a 1000 distance from Spectre. • Will not disable Kelen's Dagger of Escape, Heart of Tarrasque and Tranquil Boots. I can't tell if you still don't understand basic math or not, so I'll explain: Spectre has 1000 HP. Morphling hits for 1000 damage. Spectre instantly dies while dispersing 220 damage, or 22% of her max HP. No more, no less. or Spectre has 1000 HP. Morphling hits for 333.333.... damage. Spectre dies in three hits while dispersing 73.333... damage three times, or 220 damage, or 22% of her max HP.
It's not that simple though. People don't die instantly so you have to factor in regen and as regen/health goes up this screws the results more. There's also attack speed etc. So it's definitely not 22% of her max health but it is a percentage as originally said.

Are you that dense Numy?

How am I being dense? You are stating things in a way that can be interpreted in a way to give the wrong information. That doesn't help anyone. Going into personal insults because of this seems childish. If we are discussing something we might as well discuss it with all the information?

1/.78*max hp = 128% of max hp is how much damage to kill spectre. 22% of that is dispersed, or 28% of max hp. In this case (1500 hp) ~425 pure damage.
edit: posted since no one apparently understands how dispersion works.

Spectre dies in three hits while dispersing 73.333... damage three times, or 220 damage, or 22% of her max HP. Going by playdota's description, I think you're wrong. Spectre doesn't take the damage that is reflected, so at level 4 dispersion, you take 78% of the incoming damage and 22% is dispersed. This means that you reflect in total 28%~ of your max hp in damage. Right. So, since most heroes are going to be a fair bit farther than the 300 radius for the majority of the damage Spectre takes from Morphling (except ES probably), they might take something like 20% of 1500hp which is 300 pure damage. You're not going to get a more precise number and it isn't that important. What is important is that Spectre is going to dish out that damage at some point during the fight and he will deal much more damage if he isn't focused (he's autoattacking for 200+ dmg with manaburn as well as radiance AoE damage). The decision always depends on the hero positioning and the items of each hero. All I was trying to argue is that focusing Spectre first isn't necessarily a bad choice.
Edit: Guys, the exact number isn't that important. Sure there's health regen, which depends on items and the time taken to kill the hero, as well as Mekanism if it gets used, and tons of other factors. It'll only be at most a hundred damage which isn't important when we're just theorizing anyway.

Even then what you said was the wrong percentages anyway. I don't see why are seem to be getting upset about this. Calling someone dense because of it doesn't seem to be the right response.

I dont think you get how it works
dis·perse/disˈpərs/ Verb: Distribute or spread over a wide area. Adjective: Denoting a phase dispersed in another phase, as in a colloid. Synonyms: dissipate - dispel - disband - spread - diffuse
spectre dispels 22% damage... meaning he doesnt take it

You don't really understand seem that I don't have a problem with you using false numbers(seemingly unknowingly) to show a concept but have a problem with you insulting someone for elaborating on that subject, as others have done as well in the last few pages. I can only assume you will never see this so I don't know why I'm even bothering here.
